1) From the ashes of Texas is the Reason, by far one of the ultimate 90's emo bands before the time of emo, and two band members from Samiam, comes Solea. A post-punk/alternative rock band destined to be known for their heartfelt and introspective lyrics and upbeat, at times fast, music. The band released 2 albums, 2004's Solea and 2008's Finally We Are Nowhere before moving onto other projects.
2) Nine-year-old Soleá Fernandez Moreno is from Sevilla, Spain. The singer comes from one of the most important flamenco families in the country (the Farruco), and she made her singing debut in a family show at the La Maestranza theatre when she was young. At four years old, she began dancing and acting, starring in Navidad En Familia.
Soleá was internally selected by RTVE to represent her country at 2021’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Her song “Palante” was composed by César G. Ross, Hajar Sbihi, and Bruno Valverde. The song was written to spread positivity during the times of the Covid-19 crisis.
