I’m so proud of you both for not celebrating birthdays anymore. Was literally learning today in tadhim Al ilm how one of this biggest things that stops knowledge from entering the heart is shubaha, and the scholars describe this doubt as two things 1) kufr 2) bidah/innovation. It’s SOOOO important to stay away from things that are not part of the religion. Like the prophet SAW WARNED us to stay away from innovation. So how disrespectful would it be to celebrate Kuffar celebrations such as bdays, Christmas, mothers/Father’s Day. None of these are from Islam. Islam is perfect without them. May Allah continue to guide you and open your hearts towards the truth of the straight path, following only the footsteps of the Quran, Sunnah and the pious predecessors. آمين يا رب العالمين xx

Cleanliness is half of our deen right? Do you brush your teeth with the "kuffars" invented toothbrush? Or do you only use a Misqak?
Using a toothbrush is biddah and imitating the kuffar if we stick to your principles

you clearly have not sought knowledge before in your life haha. Firstly, these are not MY principles. I dont take my Islam from the air, i take it from teachers who teach books from the notorious scholars of the past, the quran, the sunnah and the PIOUS PREDECESSORS! These were men of knowledge so i take it from them. One thing you learn in islamic studies is that things which were physically not in the Prophet SAWs time, such as cars - we dont say theyre Bidah, because if they had cars, they wouldve used them over camels. the same for toothbrushes and toothpaste. things which they COULDVE DONE but they DIDNT DO was birthdays, christmas. there is no evidence for them, and the Prophet SAW has told us to stay away from innovations REGARDING RELIGION very clearly. so you sound like an absolute idiot for not knowing that difference, and thinking you're being smart lol. a toothbrush isn't an innovation of the RELIGION, celebrating PAGANISTIC RITUALS is you 7mar.
