My dad’s an old white rocker who is maybe a little unaware of how he’s a bit racist (we’re working on it ♥️), and I showed him this. These guys have been the perfect learning tool. They rock. They speak his musical language that he finds so important, but they don’t speak his language, which doesn’t make the song worse, it’s just different than he knows. I let him listen to some songs first (he thought it was French), before showing him a music video and all he said was “wow, well I’ll be, I never.... I didn’t think.... “ and then he just listened. You guys have helped him open his heart and mind through music.

j'ai acheté votre CD (je suis une vieille!) et je l'écoute à fond dans ma voiture en allant au travail, ça remplace très avantageusement ce qui passe à la radio française, et j'ai mal pour le foutoir dans lequel on oblige les jeunes du Mali et d'ailleurs à vivre, trop de richesses à piller, bon courage à vous
