Sonic Dream Collective was a Swedish pop band from the city of Uppsala. The… Read Full Bio ↴Sonic Dream Collective was a Swedish pop band from the city of Uppsala. They had their greatest success in 1995 with the song “Oh, Baby All” which topped the Swedish national radio P3 Tracks chart.

The debut album “Gravity” was also released the same year (1997 in the US). Members of the band were singer Linn Engström, songwriter Jon Hällgren and producer Anders Wågberg.

Between 1994 and 1997 the band had their own record label Flying Duck Music together with producer Stefan Warnberg.

A close collaboration was soon established with Giovanni Sconfienza and the record label Remixed Records where the second and final album “Dustproof” was released in 1998. By then the name had been shortened to Sonic Dream. Not sure what happened to this group - but it could have been partly that Linn and Anders got married....

Linn is still doing music, but her solo albums are made for Sweden public only.

2008 : Linn gave birth to Stella her 3th child.

2010 : Andreas made a new song called Natten Änglar 8 (Night Angels 8)

2010 : Linn Maria release the new album it's called "Mamma Bland Annat" (A Mom among other).

There's an interview of her, which you can find on Youtube.

She grew up as a part of the ABBA generation, hence her favorite pop group and desire to be a singer. Which it shows on her songs, especially on this one.

A lot of the songs from the DDR soundtracks came from the DanceMania compilations that EMI did back then as a promotional tool. I don't know if you remember, but they advertised the CDs on the eyecatcher videos of the arcades and even the PlayStation and Dreamcast versions. Other songs like Dub I Dub and Stomp to my Beat are good examples!

@@NiGHTSaturn Yeah, I do know about promoting the DanceMania albums featured on every DDR back then as a part of the licensing deal between Konami and Toshiba-EMI.

But it was ONLY promoted for the Japanese audience in mind as the DanceMania series is only sold in Japan (as the arcade cabinets of early versions of DDR are mostly import). Most of the artists featured in DanceMania series are based on Europe, but are relatively unknown outside of Europe and Japan. Italo-disco, NRG, and other 80's dance music genres based on Europe made its way to southeast asia including the Philippines, but only a few selection of songs played on radio that time that includes 2 Unlimited, Technotronic. And by the time bubblegum pop & eurodance genre became trendy internationally in MTV through Aqua and Vengaboys, we only knew artists such as Smile.dk, Me & My, Papaya, Captain Jack, E-Rotic, Rebecca, X-treme and others through the DanceDanceRevolution series (and by extension, the DanceMania series).

The thought of knowing such Eurodance artists like Sonic Dream having music videos already released in their respective country/region never crossed my mind, hence my first comment.
