Sons of Korah was founded by Matthew Jacoby and Matthew continues to co-ordinate the project. Matthew, who recently completed his doctorate in philosophy and theology at the University of Melbourne, teaches on the spirituality of the psalms and his concise commentary on the settings of the psalms is a feature that is woven through most concert events. In all things Sons of Korah seek to provide an impacting musical journey into the spirit and world of the psalms. The other regular touring members of the group are Jayden Lee, Rod Wilson and Mike Avery. In most cases Sons of Korah tour as a four piece band though they occasionally expand for bigger events.
Sons of Korah is also a partner of the Bible Societies in Australia and New Zealand and in most cases they tour in support of the work of the Bible Society.

Praise Him in the heights above.
Praise the LORD, all His angels,
Praise Him all His heavenly hosts.
And the sun and the moon, the shining stars,
And the sun and the moon, the shining starsβ¦
Praise the LORDβ¦
Praise the LORD, ye highest heavens
And you waters above the skies.
Let them praise the name of Yahway
For He commanded, and they were made.
And He set a place for them, To stay forever more,
And He gave a decree⦠That will never pass away
Praise the LORDβ¦ from the earthβ¦
And you creatures of the sea, and the ocean deep and proud,
And the lightning and the hail, the snow and all the clouds,
And every stormy wind, do all His commands,
You mountains and you hills, and every tree that stands,
And you creatures of the wild and you cattle everywhere,
And if you crawl along the groundβ¦, if you're flying through the air,
All you kings of the earth, every nation, every tongue,
your princes and your rulers,
All the old and all the youngβ¦ Yeahβ¦
Let them praise the LORD, let them praise the LORD
Praise the LORDβ¦ Praise the LORDβ¦
Praise Him for His name alone is on high,
His splendor is over the earth and the sky,
He's raised up a horn for those He sets apart,
His saints Israel,
Who, are close to His heart.

The lyrics of Psalm 148 by Sons of Korah highlight the majesty and greatness of the Lord, calling upon all of creation to join in chorus to praise Him. The lyrics begin with a call to praise the Lord from the heavens and the heights above, including all the angels and heavenly hosts. The second verse calls upon the highest heavens and the waters above the skies to also praise His name, acknowledging that God created them and set a place for them to stay. The third verse broadens the call to all of creation, including creatures of the sea, storms, mountains, cattle, and every living being, from kings to young children. The song ends by emphasizing that the Lordβs name alone is high, and He has raised up a horn for those He sets apart.
The lyrics of Psalm 148 are a celebration of the vastness and diversity of creation, while also highlighting Godβs power and glory. The song reminds listeners of the interconnectedness of all living beings and the importance of praising God for His wondrous works. The reference to God's horn is a symbol of strength or victory. In this context, it refers to the Lord's protection of His people, the Israelites who are close to His heart.
