Not enough information
Everybody wants salvation
From their, their own damnation
All this fabrication
Safe and sound in isolation
So we don't feel no obligation
It is getting harder and harder
Don't you care 'bout your sons and your daughters?
Oh, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on
We can't stand waiting at the borderline
Oh, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on
Oh, now is the time
Too much trepidation
At the thought of the situation
But it's a necessary realization
The world's on fire, no time for hesitation
Don't you know that there is always a limit
We are pushing hard, Lord, knows we have hit it
Oh, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on
We can't stand waiting at the borderline
Oh, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on
Oh, now is the time
Now is the time, time, oh the time, time, oh
Oh, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on
We can't stand waiting at the borderline
Oh, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on
Oh, now is the time
Oh, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on
We can't stand waiting at the borderline
The song "Borderline" by Sonya Kitchell addresses the need for action and change in the world. The lyrics highlight the issues of too much infiltration and not enough information, which can lead people to salvation from their personal damnation. There is a sense of isolation and fabrication, as people are safe in their own worlds but feel no obligation to take action or make changes. Kitchell urges the "rise up generation" to take responsibility and make a difference.
The song emphasizes that the world is on fire and there is no time for hesitation. Kitchell encourages people to take action and not be afraid of the situation. She reminds listeners that pushing boundaries and limits is necessary, but it is also important to recognize when enough is enough. The repeated phrase "come on" is a call to action, urging listeners to step up and make a change.
