Excuse-moi d'exister, excuse mes sentiments
Excuse-moi d'exister, excuse mes sentiments
Soolking w Ouled El Bahdja
La liberté, la liberté, la liberté
C'est d'abord dans nos cœurs
La liberté, la liberté, la liberté
Nous, ça nous fait pas peur
La liberté, la liberté, la liberté
C'est d'abord dans nos cœurs
La liberté, la liberté, la liberté
Nous, ça nous fait pas peur
The lyrics to Soolking's song Liberté reflect the desire for freedom from political oppression and societal injustices. The opening lyrics speak about the belief that power can be bought and how freedom is all that is left for them. The repetition of the word "liberté" throughout the song emphasizes the importance of the concept of freedom for the people represented in the song.
The song also speaks about the repetitious nature of the political system, where the same scenario happens over and over and the people are left to be the actors for peace. The lyrics criticize the insincerity of political speeches, which are so false that people have grown accustomed to them. However, the lyrics also show a sense of hopefulness, that the voices of those who suffer from grief and long for a better future will be heard and that they will be free from oppression.
The chorus speaks about how freedom starts from within our hearts, emphasizing that the idea of freedom cannot be suppressed even in the face of fear. The song ends on a message of hope and a call to action, calling for the release of those who are being held hostage and for the listener to stand up for what they believe in and fight for freedom.
Overall, Soolking's Liberté is a powerful anthem that speaks to the desire for freedom and the human spirit's indomitable nature even in the face of oppression.
