1 - Sore (IPA: sΙΛrΙ) is an Indonesian rock/jazz band.
Originally formed in 2000 by three childhood friends (Ade Paloh, Mondo Gascaro & Awan Garnida). In late 2001 Awan Garnida brought two other friends (Bembi Gusti & Reza Dwiputranto) and together they formed a group which they called SORE (means "late afternoon" in Indonesian). In 2004 and early 2005 they contributed two songs in a couple of compilation albums, the first was a compilation of music from Jakarta's indie scene called "JKRT: SKRG" (an abbreviation of "Jakarta, Sekarang" which translates "Jakarta, Now") released by Aksara Records. The other was an original motion picture soundtrack "Janji Joni,β also released by Aksara.
They released their full-length debut album Centralismo (Aksara Records) in the summer of 2005, which was in part became their tribute to Central Jakarta, where most of the members grew up. The music varied greatly from track to track as each member contributed lead singings and song-writings in this album.
The album received praise from all quarters. The Time Magazine Asia acknowledged βCENTRALISMOβ as "One of Five Asian Albums Worth Buying", and Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine listed it 40 in "150 Greatest Indonesian Albums of All Time"
While preparing their materials for their second album, they got involved in four original soundtrack albums: "Berbagi Suami" (Love for Share); "Kala" (Dead Time); Quickie Express; "Perempuan Punya Cerita" (Chants of Lotus), one of which became a hit single, "Pergi Tanpa Pesan,β a reworking of an Indonesian classic from the late 1950's.
After working their materials for more than a year, they are back with their second album entitled Ports of Lima (Aksara Records - 2008) to great critical acclaim. The Rolling Stone Indonesia recently voted it as the Best Album of 2008.The last award went to SORE was for the "Best Alternative Music Production" (2009) by Anugrah Musik Indonesia (AMI).

2 - SORE (Source Of Raw Energy) - American nu-metal/rapcore/alternative band, formed in Milwaukee, WI in December 2000 and led by a rapper The DRP. The other members are: V Maxx (also vocals), Andre (guitars), Geoff Slater[ (drums) and Mark[] (bass). Shorty after forming, they blew everyone's eardrums and won a $10,000 prize to release a self-titled album in 2003 (and shoot a music video for song "Position") and a demo year earlier. Their music has been used in 4 cinema movies, various video games and 4 different ESPN soundtracks.

The lyrics to Sore's song "Apatis Ria" describe a sense of detachment and apathy towards life. The first two lines suggest that everything has become easy and carefree, and that this feeling never ends. However, the following lines, "Segala tua muda merasa pudar, Apakah sudah terjalan," question whether this carefree attitude is actually causing everything - including youthfulness and vitality - to fade away. The next lines describe the negative effects of aging, haunting and hurting the singer, but they refuse to feel vanquished or carefree.
In the chorus, the singer suggests that forgetting their troubles and uniting with a loved one is the height of pleasure: "Dengan mu bersatu, Melupa suram dan nasibku berlalu, Inikah nikmatnya" (With you united, forgetting all my sorrow and fate, Is this pleasure?). However, the final lines of the song - "Semua sudah hilang ... dan berholiday, Tak pernah usai dengan mu" (Everything has disappeared... and gone on holiday, It never ends with you) - suggest that the happiness and carefree attitude will only persist when they are with this loved one.
Overall, the lyrics suggest a poignant reflection on the fleeting nature of joy and the difficulty of finding meaning and purpose in life.
