Their follow-up album, Vol. II: 1990 - A New Decade, yielded the hits "Get a Life" and "A Dream's a Dream," the latter featuring operatic vocals by Victoria Wilson-James. While their U.S. following declined somewhat following its release, Soul II Soul continued to have hits in the UK, including 1992's #4 single, "Joy."
Soul II Soul reached Volume 5 of their series for Virgin in 1995, then released 2 more albums for Island Records.

Move me no, move me no mountain
Move me, move me no mountain
Move me no, move me no mountain
Just as sure as I am, I will love you alone
You belong in my arms, you belong in my home
I don't expect you to be someone else that you're not
Move me no mountain, turn me no tide
Swim me no ocean, long, deep and wide
Just say you love me, long, strong and true and
Move me no mountain to prove that you do
Move me no mountain to prove that you do
Fill my life with your love, you're my bread, you're my wine
Fill my life with your love and I'll fill yours with mine
You'll never hear me cry tears of regret
And it's fine with me if what I see is what I get
Move me no mountain, turn me no tide
Swim me no ocean, long, deep and wide
Just say you love me, long, strong and true and
Move me no mountain to prove that you do
Move me no mountain to prove that you do
Move me no mountain
Move me no mountain
Move me no mountain, yeah
Move me, move me no mountain
Move me, move me no mountain
Move me, move me no mountain
Give me love, move me no mountain
Move me no mountain
Move me, move me no mountain
Move me, move me no mountain
Give me love, move me no mountain
Move me no mountain, babe
Move me no mountain
The lyrics to Soul II Soul's "Move Me No Mountain" are about the simple and unconditional love the singer has for their partner. The repeated phrase "move me no mountain" is a plea from the singer to their partner to not go to extremes to prove their love, as their love is enough on its own. The lines "Just say you love me, long, strong and true and / Move me no mountain to prove that you do" emphasize that the singer's partner doesn't have to do anything grand to prove their love, just a genuine expression is enough. The singer states, "I don't expect you to be someone else that you're not / All I expect you to give is all that you've got," demonstrating that they love their partner for who they are, and only want for them to be themselves. There is a mutual love between the singer and partner, as they declare that they belong together, and they will fill each other's lives with love. It is a pure and simple love, without any expectations or demands from each other.
The use of the repeated phrase "move me no mountain" is significant, as mountains are often used as symbols of obstacles, something difficult to overcome.
