Now here is a quick story that I'd like to tell
I have a story to share with you.

Check the clock it was good timing
The timing was perfect.

In the rearview things seem closer then they appear

Car pulled over at around 4oclock
The car was parked at around 4 o'clock.

Jumped out rang the door bell
I got out of the car and rang the doorbell.

Sweat dripped down the back like the sun was shinning
I was sweating so much that it felt like the sun was shining on my back.

Knew that I was in a good position
I felt confident and prepared for what was to come.

Door opened and standing in front of me
The door opened and I saw someone standing in front of me.

Could it be yes it was Heaven how you been
I was pleasantly surprised to see someone I thought was dead.

Haven't seen you in a minute friend
It has been a long time since I last saw you, my friend.

And I've been dreaming of the day we would reconnect
I've been hoping for a chance to see you again.

They said you died and your soul left your body
I was told that you had died and your soul had left your body.

Well as far as I'm concerned you are still with me
I still feel like you are with me, even though you are not physically present.

And those I know that never got to meet you
The people I know who never met you.

In the physical human form they can see you
They can see you in spirit, though they never met you in person.

Twenty five years old spirit like a lion
Your spirit is strong and powerful, like that of a lion.

Running wild well then again that was me
I used to run wild like you, once upon a time.

That which I saw in you
The qualities that I saw in you.

And although you're not in your body
Even though you are no longer alive.

You are still with me
I still feel your presence with me.

Your soul and mine are connected, my brother.

Did all I knew how to
I did all that I could.

And turning the clock back
If I could turn back time.

Not sure would change anything
I'm not sure if anything would be different.

From Florida to California
From the East coast to the West coast.

Kept in touch with you
We stayed in contact.

But I had my own issues
I had my own problems to deal with.

So I wished you the best
I hoped for the best for you.

You said not to keep my eggs
You advised me not to put all my effort into one thing.

All in the same basket
To not put everything in one place.

Well now I ask this
Now I have a question to ask.

Can a brother be a branch to a tree
Can a person be like a branch on a tree, providing support for others?

That's holding space for all humanity
That's holding space for all people in the world.

Humbling the heart with
Making my heart feel humble and appreciative.

A childhood memory

Walking across the back yard

Sitting in the swing with my eyes closed
I sat on the swing with my eyes closed.

Eyes open colorful light bursting
When I opened my eyes, I saw colorful light bursting all around me.

Jumping off landing
Jumping off the swing and landing on the ground.

Two feet upon the ground
Both feet on the ground.

A tent for us to camp in
We had a tent to camp in.

Stare directly in your eyes
I stared directly into your eyes.

Daze off in the horizon
I was lost in thought, gazing at the horizon.

As if we where the same entity
As if we were the same being.

Equal exchange simple and plain
We had an equal exchange, without any complications.

Hand shake time leave
We shook hands and said goodbye.

Maybe see you again
Perhaps we'll meet again someday.

Up the stairs through the backdoor
I went up the stairs and through the backdoor.

Out the front sat back in the vehicle
I went out the front and sat back inside the car.

Drove off what a rush
I drove away, feeling a rush of emotions.

Waking up from a dream like that
Waking up after dreaming about you.

So vivid Foggy bits mixed with crystal clear pieces
The dream was vivid and clear, but also a bit foggy and confusing at times.

Saw my brother but I wondered who he was
I saw my brother in my dream, but I wasn't sure it was really him.

Sitting up in my bed now wide wake
I sat up in my bed, now fully awake.

Call it creation the ever changing
I call it creation, something always changing and evolving.

Sunset lights on but it seemed vacant
The lights were on, but it still seemed empty and lonely.

Well that's amazing when freedom is escaping
It's surprising how quickly freedom can slip away.

And dream time becomes waking life
When a dream becomes a reality.

Now make a toast to the most highly incredible
Let's raise a glass to the most amazing person we know.

Feeling of knowing that love is something beyond
Love is something that transcends our understanding.

A written down painted picture on a wall
A picture painted on a wall or a photo that's been written about.

Classic never been done
A classic, but still unique and original.

The effortless sweet words under your tongue
The words that are easy and sweet to say.

A vision so pure the measurement
A clear and pure vision.

Who poured the medicine
Who provided the cure?

Kept me on a course
Helped me stay on track and focused.

And always on that regimen
Keeping up the habit of staying focused and on track.

A radical outcast on an escapade
An unconventional person on an adventure.

In this dreamscape we keep each other safe
In this world of dreams, we can protect each other.

And although you're not in your body
Even though you are no longer alive.

You are still with me
