Take me anywhere you go
I've got nothin' keeping me, here
Take me with you when you go
I got a feelin' my mind's in the sky
And I can't catch a breath or a break
Like a guy who's strangled and beggingFor help, not attention
And then, not to mention, the pain that is mine
And the thought of not knowing
That what's goin' on my eyes
Or my hands could be robbin' without any knowledge
Or knowing that helpin' yourself could be hurtin' or harmin' someone
I got a feelin' my mind's in the sky
And I can't catch a breath or a break
Like a guy who's strangled and begging
For help, not attention
And then, not to mention, the pain that is mine
And the thought of not knowing
That what's goin' on my eyes
Or my hands could be robbin' without any knowledge
Or knowing that helpin' yourself could be hurtin' or harmin' someone
Take me with you when you go, girl
Take me anywhere you go
In "Take You Away" by Soulful Black & White, the lyrics express a yearning to escape and be taken away from a current situation. The repeated plea to "take me with you when you go, girl" conveys a sense of longing for a fresh start or a new beginning. The singer feels trapped and constrained by their current circumstances, as evidenced by the line "I've got nothin' keeping me, here." This longing for escape is further emphasized by the desire to be taken "anywhere" the other person is going, suggesting a desire for adventure and freedom.
The lyrics also touch upon a sense of emotional and mental suffocation, with the singer feeling like their "mind's in the sky" and unable to find a sense of grounding or peace. The imagery of feeling like a "guy who's strangled and begging for help, not attention" conveys a deep sense of desperation and vulnerability. The singer is grappling with inner turmoil and pain, unsure of how to navigate their emotions and thoughts. This turmoil is heightened by the fear of inadvertently causing harm to others, as reflected in the lines about potentially "robbin' without any knowledge" or "hurtin' or harmin' someone" while trying to help oneself.
The repetition of the verses underscores the intensity of these feelings and the urgency of the singer's plea. The repeated imagery of feeling breathless and trapped emphasizes the sense of claustrophobia and emotional weight that the singer is grappling with. The longing to be taken away with the other person suggests a deep emotional connection and the desire for solace and companionship in the face of inner turmoil. Overall, the lyrics convey a complex mix of emotions – longing, desperation, vulnerability, and the need for escape and emotional release.
In conclusion, "Take You Away" by Soulful Black & White delves into themes of escapism, emotional turmoil, and the desire for connection and freedom. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a person who feels suffocated by their current circumstances and yearns to break free. The repetition of the verses and the poignant imagery of feeling strangled and overwhelmed by emotions create a sense of urgency and raw vulnerability. The plea to be taken away with the promise of a fresh start encapsulates the longing for a new beginning and the yearning for a sense of release from inner turmoil.

Spoilers ...
They take a DNA tests. Turns out Carl is part Native American, and the gf's dad is part Puritan (Pilgrim). So he does get into military school. Although I don't remember "Puritan" as a "race". 😂😂😂
The sad part later is that the gf gets an STD, and Carl has to prove he's not infected, so he couldn't be the one that gave it to her. But he and her dad find out she was cheating.

Has he not acted in a bunch of movies that goes against that ideal tho?
@annekekramer3835
@KingKien95 Your point being? The fact that there was historic racism, ddes not mean we should continue with it, right? He's an actor, of course actors can play roles in movies were racism exists. It's mostly to show that racism sucks, right?
