me and my bestfriend saw a shooting star after i broke up with my boyfriend, i loved him truly. After we broke up i met the boy i call my bestfriend and we would bike around town all night during the summer. The last time me and him hung out we stopped to look at the stars in a field when we saw the star.a couple days after he committed and that was the last time i saw him. I was 14 and when i turned 18 his father gave me a letter he wrote me before he died. In the letter he said when we saw that star he wished for me to be happy and that he’d always loved me, i’m 19 now and everytime i see a shooting star it reminds me of him, like the star is his way of saying everything will turn out okay.

I live in Aguascalientes Mexico and was driving home late one night a few weeks ago and I actually saw a meteorite. I was outside the city and it was very dark. The meteorite plunged straight down in front of me and hit the ground miles away out in the desert. It was one of the most dramatic things I've ever seen.

Egypt Nov 2001. I was walking back to my hotel room and a meteor was so bright, so thick, like a light saber, horizontally it shot left to right for about 2 seconds. I had to stop in shock at how terrifyingly beautiful it was, and even more so that possibly no one else on the planet saw it.

I’ve been camping for a week and the sky was painted with a display of breathtaking stars ( one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen). Due to light pollution in most urban areas, shooting stars are Rare, but this experience was amazing. For the first time in my life I saw satellites 🛰, shooting stars/ meteors 💫, and many fantastic constellations such as the saucepan etc. If you haven’t been camping already, I highly recommend that you take the time to go when you have the chance, it’s a great way to escape from towns and cities and to be surrounded by the wonders of the world 🌍 ✨

I went to Alberta this summer and oh my god i literally never knew we could see the satellite moving with our own eyes + there were so many shooting stars in the span of an hour. We even got lucky enough to see the Aurora borealis :)

It was about 2 am in late July 2020 and the power went out. Me and 2 of my brothers decided to go outside to see why the power went out, and we could hear riots and crashes miles away. But we noticed that there were a lot more stars in the sky than usual and could definitely tell where the milky way was. (we live in a pretty big metro area so it was pretty faint) My 2 brothers were looking at a different direction and i chose to look at the opposite side, and i saw my first ever shooting star, it was really bright but didn't light up the sky that much. My brothers didn't believe me though

I remember seeing this bright red shooting star that spanned the entirety of the sky of Oahu. I was walking by myself uphill in a valley and I was enjoying the view and this gorgeous star shined the entire valley, mind you this eas 2 maybe 3 in the morning where no one was up and I remember thinking my day was gonna start "meh" and I gotta say the heat the light rumbling in my body as it flew over left an impression that I should not be negative in my time here.

When you see stuff like that, it's actually the meteor quite literally bouncing off the atmosphere! If the meteors hit at just the right angle, from our perspective they can appear to change direction sharply. The green trail indicates that the meteor was most likely made mostly of nickel

my boyfriend and i stayed at joshua tree a few weeks ago for a little hiking trip getaway. I fell asleep and woke up at 3am to find my boyfriend completely awake. he was having a hard time falling asleep. I asked him if he wanted to go stargazing outside. We laid in the hammock together with the harm breeze and the absolute silence of the desert. We looked up at the most beautiful night sky full of stars. I was filled with peace and awe- I love him more than I've ever loved anyone. And it was such a special moment in my life. It was just so simple and pure. 05/10/2022 Today was the day I saw a shooting star for the first time in my 22 years of life. I went up to the roof of my house and I couldn't stop looking at the bright stars in the clear sky. It was orange, bright, clear to the eye, and lasted about one second in the sky. I couldn't do anything but smile and let out a laugh into space. My neck hurts but it was worth it!

Was smoking a J in my garden whilst looking up into the sky. Saw a burning trail light up for a split second. Wasn't sure if it was a flare or i just imagined it.

I just saw a beautiful meteor light(a magnificent bright dotted line). It was going on very slowly and travelled in a curve for about 45 seconds and then disappeared slowly. Made my day.
I hope to see these things more.

yesterday night i witness something very peculiar. i explain what i saw to several people. As i was staring into the sky there was a bright light and it moved in a curved path then just disappeared. i told people about it and they told me it was a shooting star. it was definitely not a shooting star.

I was just lisening to music while walking at the side of the road looking for star signs, and then right there. I saw something that might have been a metiorit and then few seconds after a big bright shooting star flew by. I really did gasp then wish and ran home since i was both exited and tired. the meteors are small rocks left over from the early solar system when the planets and sun formed from a nebular around 4.6 billion years the bright tails of the shooting stars are the rocks burning up from friction in our atmosphere which gives us a nice diplay of shooting stars in the night sky

It's stated in the Quran.

Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars. And as protection against every rebellious devil. [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side. Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness].
