Spark (4) The members of Spark do more than light a fire. To this Dayton-based five piece, music is about earning ones platform to share the gospel by performing the fullest, catchiest, most inspired rock songs that the pop scale can handle. The group epitomized this vision quest with their Rugged debut, Tomorrow Is Today, which taps into the same influences as Creed, Live, the Goo Goo Dolls, Sense Field, Nine Days, and SR-71. The music has a driving double-guitar rock edge, but Sparks key emphasis is always on strong pop vocals and melodies. Spark - made up of Dave Truscott (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Jesse Jackson (vocals), Scott Peters (bass), Steve Peters (drums), and Todd Osborn (lead guitar) - started off as a regional hit in Ohio nearly five years ago performing with groups like Audio Adrenaline, Plumb, Skillet, Fold Zandura, Geoff Moore and the Distance, and Reality Check. Their success reached total buzzworthy proportions in 1998 when Spark became the grand champion of Radio Us Battle of the Bands. Soon after the victory, Spark was even asked to perform at Radio Us much-hyped 4th of July music festival. In other words, while Tomorrow Is Today might be the groups debut national album, Spark is no stranger to the national spotlight. As affirmed by Radio U, Sparks songs go head-to-head with the top commercial rock bands in Christian music. However, Spark rises above their peers with a youthful energy and spirit that only a band of 18-to-24 year olds can muster. Rugged Records, recognizing the strength of Sparks pop hooks and the advantage of their youth, will be making a heavy push towards national radio and video dominance. Likewise, the label is pushing for heavy print promotion, both through advertising and feature articles. Of course, the bands strong live performance ethic means Spark will be blazing a fierce trail on the road winning over new fans and sharing their beloved gospel with people from coast to coast.
Spark (5) is an act, consisting of Claudia Decaluwé and Gunter Van Campenhout, who started their career by trying to represent Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2002. Their debutalbum came in 2004 and was titled “I like it”. They took their time to make a new album, but in 2008 new material will finally be released.
Spark (7) is a serbian/hungarian noisy hardcore punk band in the veins of Bad Brains, Void, Kid Dynamite etc.

spark(8) is a rapper from Holland.
Spark (9) is Matt Willox, the prolific Vancouver British Columbia-based musician had his start on mp3.com where he debuted the first real Spark track, “Are We Happy People?” It was at this point in his life that he discovered his true sound; to create uniquely mangled yet melodically destructive electronics. Always one to break preconceived notions of music production techniques, Spark manages to reinvent himself with each release by realizing the differences between conventional musical approaches and significantly unique arrangements of sound. Spark’s relationship with his music is one that is personalized to reflect what is currently happening in his life. By crystallizing new ideas and venturing beyond wandering experimentation, expect to hear a new chapter in Spark’s library of fractured sounds.
Spark (10) is a classical group founded 2007 by flutists Daniel Koschitzki and Andrea Ritter (former part time members of Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet), completed by violinist Stefan Glaus, the cellist Victor Plumettaz and the pianist Mischa Cheung. They won for their first album Folk Tunes the German ECHO Klassik in 2011 for their innovative and explosive interpretation of classical and contemporary compositions and folk tunes.
Spark (11) is a 5-piece straight edge melodic hardcore band from Mannheim and Cologne, Germany. They released a demo in 2017 and a split EP with Belgium's Chain Reaction in 2019. They announced their first LP in 2021, set for release in 2022.
Shame
Spark Lyrics

I thought You'd taken everything but You just filled the hole
Give me the thorn, drive it in deep
I'll take the pain cause love ain't cheap
(chorus)
My heart bowed in shame
As I called Your name
Can't explain the things You've done for me
Keeping me from the fire, Oh precious memories
Farther along I go, take my hand precious Lord
Room at the cross for you, room at the cross for me
The first verse of Spark’s song “Shame” depicts a powerful moment of soul searching, as the songwriter peers deep into their own soul and reflects on the painful experiences that have shaped their life. Despite the challenges that they have faced and the scars that they carry, the songwriter acknowledges that they have not been completely broken by their struggles. Instead, they have found a sense of renewal and redemption in their faith, turning to God to fill the emptiness left by their traumas. The second half of the verse takes a bold and somewhat paradoxical turn, with the songwriter acknowledging that the pain and suffering they have endured were necessary in order for them to find true love and fulfillment in life. This creates a sense of tension between the desire for safety and security, and the realization that sometimes we must undergo trials and tribulations in order to grow and transform.
The chorus of “Shame” focuses on the theme of redemption, as the songwriter calls out to God and declares their unwavering loyalty and devotion. Despite the shame and pain that they feel within themselves, the songwriter finds solace in the knowledge that they are loved and valued by a higher power. The repetition of the phrase “You shall always be the one for me” emphasizes the stability and permanence of this connection, while also highlighting the personal agency and commitment of the songwriter. The final verse of the song echoes the themes of redemption and faith that have been present throughout, offering up an image of a journey towards salvation and inner peace. The songwriter reaches out to God for support and guidance, drawing strength from the knowledge that there is always room for us at the cross.
