How're You Getting Home
Sparks Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Ow are you getting home
It's on my way, so let me take you home
Home home sweet home

[Chorus:]
How're you getting home
How're you getting home
How're you getting home, I'm curious
No, I'm really only curious
How're you getting home

Get away from here
Let's get away from here
I hope you live a million miles away
I could take you half way home tonight
Tomorrow you'll be home
Tell me how you're getting home

We got one thing in common baby
We're too good to be at this party
We're too good to be anywhere but
Inside my car

How are you getting home
It's on my way, so let me take you home
Home home sweet home

[Chorus:]

Don't let me push you baby
What I like is your independence
Real spunk, real independence
And there's my car

How are you getting home

It's on my way, so let me take you home
Home home sweet home

Thank you so much for uploading this video. F.W.I.W. it is one of my many favourite Sparks songs, but I have never seen this song being performed. I must check out the 21x21 concert videos to see if someone recorded the lads doing that song on the indiscreet night. However, once again, thank you very much for uploading.

@jefferydowler4655

Ron and Russell are insane but I love them.

@ObatalaOxala

Sparks for ever!

@buserror1

Sparks is the soundtrack of the story of two brothers who tragically overdosed on Vitamin DGAF.

@orioleadams

I saw this on DKRC when it originally aired (I was a fairly new Sparks fan at the time - had just purchased Indiscreet and was anxious to see them perform) and I could've sworn that they'd performed live. It seems to me that "How Are You Getting Home" was extended and different than the album version....Russell and Ron did several more "How you gettin' home?" bits, where Russell sings the musical question and Ron hits those two chords, than shown here. This is probably an edited/dubbed copy.....?

@lordlazerus

Probably pre-recorded alt-versions like bands often did for TV like TToP :)

@defaultx238

Probably was live on tv and the recorded version is just dubbed with the album versions

@sandyhanson6082

Rest in peace Dinky.😔
