The band's long career has seen them successfully adopt many different musical genres; including glam pop, power pop, electronic dance music and mainstream pop. Despite these many styles, a recognizable "Sparks sound" remains throughout, and they have enjoyed a large cult following since their first releases. Sparks have been highly influential on the development of popular music, in particular on the late 1970s scene, when in collaboration with Giorgio Moroder (and Telex subsequently), they reinvented themselves as an electronic pop duo, and abandoned the traditional rock band line up. In contrast to the esteem in which they are held by such peers as Depeche Mode, New Order, Morrissey and They Might Be Giants, who all cite Sparks as a major influence, their almost constantly changing styles and unique visual presentations have sometimes seen them dismissed as a novelty act.
The 2002 release of Lil' Beethoven, their self-described "genre-defining opus", and 2006's Hello Young Lovers (their 20th studio album) have brought Sparks renewed critical and commercial success, and seen them continue to "steer clear of pop conventions."
The 2021 documentary film 'The Sparks Brothers', directed by Edgar Wright, has renewed interest in the band for a new audience.

Minne Mouse
And the woman with the ears
Minne Mouse
You can say she's just a mouse
Just a mouse
The Taj Mahal is just a house
What a house
Minnie Minnie
I like Minnie
George and Martha Washington
Minnie Mouse
Ozzie had his Harriet
Minnie Mouse
And beside the greatest mouse
In the rue
Stands out to be Minnie Mouse
Dressed in blue
CHORUS
Minnie Mouse, we've never met
But to me your Juliet
Minne Mouse, don't ever change
Minnie Mouse, don't every change
Minne,where'd you learn to act?
Minne Mouse
Minne, where'd you learn to dance?
Minnie Mouse
She's a real rarity
In this day
Everything comes naturally
I would say
CHORUS
Minne, where'd you get that dress?
Minnie Mouse
It's persian I would guess
Minnie Mouse
Minne, where'd you get that smile?
It's so neat
You could make my life worthwhile
And complete
Minne Minnie
I like Minnie
She can sing and act and dance
Minnie Mouse
She looks good in square-short pants
Minnie Mouse
She is loved in any land
Minnie Mouse
But I am her biggest fan
Minnie Mouse

The lyrics express admiration for Minnie's talents in acting, dancing, and singing, and her unique style in clothing and accessories.

This was the most fantastic era for Sparks, in my opinion. That Georgio Moroder type synthesizer.. love it!
Also check out “Mickey Mouse” from the 1982 album “Angst In My Pants”. It probably led to them getting the deal for this song.
