They had (and still have) a cult following and they have produced eleven studio albums, notably 'One Eyed Jacks' and 'World Service'. They still tour today and the studio album, Loadestone, has been very well received. It includes a remarkable cover of the Joy Division track, Transmission.
Kirk Brandon toured with original members of Theatre of Hate in April 2007, and a reissued version of the Westworld album is due to be released with several newly recorded tracks.
S.O.D.'s 'Imperial Prototype' was released towards the end of 2007 and saw the band return to form. They embarked on a Singles tour in 2008, and included Adrian Portas (New Model Army / Sex Gang Children) and Craig Adams (ex- The Sisters of Mercy / The Mission).
Early November 2010 a new album was released Omega Point.

So In Love With You
Spear Of Destiny Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Needing someone there, someone
Shooting star you'd half a life
That's why you burnt so bright
Now you don't need anyone
As a kid you lived the dream
Fitted right inside it's scheme
They still deny that they cared
You're gone because they got scared
I'm so in love with you
Did your world collapse one day
Nothing left to give away
Spending hours on the phone
Don't hang up I'm on my own
I can't face it when you go
I'm so in love with you
There's an ambulance outside
Reporters hang around like flies
Waiting for a photograph
When you died you weren't alone
I guess the truth will never be known
I'm so in love with you
The Spear Of Destiny's song "So In Love With You" is a tribute to someone who has passed away. The lyrics speak of a person who lived a life filled with love affairs but was constantly denied that they were loved. It appears that the person led a life that burned too bright, with the line "shooting star you'd half a life, that's why you burnt so bright." The song implies that the person didn't receive the love and support they needed, leading to their eventual demise. The lyrics describe a lonely existence and the need for someone to be there when times are hard.
The chorus of the song speaks of the deep love the singer has for the departed person. They reminisce about the times they spent together and the feelings they had. The song hints that the person may have taken their own life, as there is an ambulance outside and reporters are hanging around waiting for a photograph.
The lyrics are emotionally charged and reverent, suggesting that the person who passed was beloved and important to the songwriter. The song also has a haunting quality to it, with the repetitive chorus and the melancholic tone giving it a mournful feel.
