As a pilot and firefighter (both since my school days) I was super excited to take my son to see Planes: Fire & Rescue in theaters all these years ago. I was ready to rush to the store the night it was released on DVD (my wife beat me to it because I wanted the special edition). We watched it again this past weekend and I still love the scene in which this song plays because of all the Easter eggs, the artistry, and how cute so much of it is as they create a world of characters and landscapes. I'll always love firefighting and flying, but most of all my kids!

The movie is a criminally underrated gem and I will die on that hill. Thoughtful, well-paced, excellent characters, score, visuals... too bad most people hate the very concept of the franchise or just despise the first Planes. But I think that in a couple of years this one will finally get the recognition it deserves ;)

This song came to me at an amazing time in my life. My dream had been to go into software development, but for years I couldn't find a job. In the meantime, I had been a teacher. Good job, but not my dream. Then, one day, I got an email saying I had been hired at a development company, and just like that, my dream had come true. A few weeks later, my family and I took a road trip, and we brought Planes: Fire and Rescue as one of the movie for the drive. It was then that I heard this song as Dusty was flying to get certified. It hit the nail on the head when it came to how I felt about this change. During my last day as a teacher, I played this song for all my students as a farewell and told them that it's never too late to accomplish your dreams, and to keep striving for your goals.

I’m so glad I finally found this song. My dad took me to this movie the a couple months later he went to jail for drugs. When he got out he had lunch with us and promised he would never do drugs. 5 days later he goes to jail again for the same reason. After that he up and left haven’t seen him for 4 years I’m 12 now. If you made it through thanks i just needed a place to get this off my chest.
