Don't wanna throw away my brain like the others tell me to
I do not want to conform to society’s expectations and lose my individuality along the way

This system will not work for me although it may work for you
The societal norms and expectations do not resonate with me and I do not wish to follow them just because they work for others

I'm gonna break the chains, gonna let my spirit free
I want to break free from the constraints placed upon me by society and live my life on my own terms

You can do what you wanna do
Everyone else is free to pursue their own path as well

But don't impose your systematic ways on me
I do not appreciate when others try to enforce their beliefs and ways of life on me

I'm doing the best I can to show you what I see
I am trying my best to express my own beliefs without judgment or bias

To express my true beliefs without everybody labeling me
I want to feel free to express my beliefs without judgment or being pigeonholed into specific labels or categories

I'm gonna stand my ground and fight for what I believe is true
I am determined to hold true to my own beliefs and stand up for them no matter what

And if you get in my way I'm gonna run, run, run right over you
I am prepared to face any challenges or obstacles in my path and will not let anyone get in the way of my personal journey

Everywhere I look I see a biased point of view
I am noticing how people often have their own hidden agendas or biases that cloud their judgment

Everybody imposes their way
Everyone tries to enforce their own way of life on others

But you never actually get to see what's true
It can be difficult to discern what is truly the ‘right’ path when everyone is pushing their own agenda

You can never trust what the average people say
It is hard to trust the ‘average’ person’s perspective when everyone is trying to push their own beliefs and ways of life onto you

It fucking drives me mad how the people live in this world today
It can be frustrating and overwhelming to observe how society operates and how people interact with one another

This is the path that I have chose
I have decided to take this specific path in life independently

Questioning all authority and wearing tattered clothes
I am skeptical of authority and societal structures that are put in place, which is reflected in the nonconformity of my clothing style

Punk rock is something flowing through my veins
Punk rock is symbolic of my personal, unconventional beliefs and life choices

And it wont allow me to throw away my brain
These beliefs are so integral to my identity and so important that I cannot discard or ignore them

Oh yeah!
