The nightmares and terrors that haunt me at night still linger and affect me even when I wake up in the morning

To the outside world, we may seem okay, but inside we are still grieving and struggling

Midnight brawls turned daytime drama
The fights and struggles I face in the darkness of night follow me into my daytime life and become ongoing dramas

Our culture pushes addictive prescription drugs, prescribed even to mothers who trust the medical system

Still mistreated misjudged misled through the fiction
We are still mistreated, misunderstood, and misled by the stories and narratives pushed on us by those in power

Glued to the news using the same old depiction
We are hypnotized by the news, perpetuating the same old stories and perspectives we've been fed for years

Deprived by depraved stuck in old ways
We are deprived of progress and innovation, stuck in old and outdated ways of thinking and living

Stuck in the mud color my blood is these days
I feel weighed down and stuck in the same old patterns, and it affects me deeply and emotionally

In due time the prime will be unveiled
Eventually, the truth and the best way forward will become clear and reveal itself

To soon fly up high through the hail
When the time comes, I will soar through difficult and dangerous situations with grace and ease

Hail to the most high uphold the true and just
I honor and respect those who are true and just, and I trust that the universe will reward them

Lust for a love like a bruise and the crutch
I crave a deep and passionate love that both hurts and supports me

I need to separate myself from negative people and influences in order to cut off the severity of their impact on me

Time is of the essence in the air so airily
Time is fleeting and precious, but it also feels light and insignificant

Kingdoms crash as the rain subsides
Even the most powerful and seemingly indestructible structures in society can fall apart and crumble, just as the rain eventually stops

Freedom frees us from the pain inside
When we are truly free, we can release the pain and burdens that we've been carrying inside of us
