The band is best known for performing "You're Standing on My Neck" (released for streaming in 2020 as "Daria (Official MTV Theme)", which was featured as the opening theme to the MTV animated series Daria. Splendora also performed "Turn the Sun Down" and "College Try" for the Daria television films Is It Fall Yet? and Is It College Yet?, respectively.
Rocker
Splendora Lyrics

She was off her rocker
ha ha ha, ha ha ha
People wants to lock her up
ha ha ha, ha ha ha
How can she ever say die
She was off her tocker
ha ha ha, ha ha ha
And she couldn't cuffed up
ha ha ha, ha ha ha
How can she ever say die
Just as soon, spin in their eyes
She's got an answer
She just can't give it to you
She's got an answer
But she doesn't have a clue
ha ha ha, ha ha ha
ha ha ha, ha ha ha
ha ha ha, ha ha ha
How can she ever say die
Just as soon, spin in their eyes
How can she ever say die
Just as soon, spin in their eyes
The song "Rocker" by Splendora is a catchy, upbeat tune that tells the story of a woman who is considered "off her rocker" by other people. The repetitive ha ha ha's in the background almost mocking the woman who is struggling with her inner state. The verse "people want to lock her up" implies that society doesn't understand her unconventional ways and wants to segregate her from the rest of the world. The lyrics "How can she ever say die, just as soon, spin in their eyes" suggest the woman has a strong will to live and continues to fight against societal pressures to conform.
The chorus is equally compelling in its message. She has an answer, but she doesn't have a clue which may help the society understand her. This puzzling statement can indicate that her solution is non-conformity, individuality, and standing up against oppression. She does not know how to express her solution to the world in a way that they will understand. The song has a clear theme of societal exclusion, mental health and the stigma of being "off your rocker." Moreover, it can be an anthem for anyone who feels marginalized by society, struggling to find their own voice.

This has to be the most underrated band that's ever existed.
Really wish they were successful. Those girls had a lot of potential, that is for sure.

Yeah, it's a damn shame, really.

Probably they were making music for fun, and then they had other things to do, so the band ended :/
(There are other examples of this kind of artists who are good but very unknown, if you get confused)

It's too bad, you'd think the popularity of Daria would have sparked more interest in their group!

+Noire Angel Well, I guess they weren't doing that great themselves... There isn't much about them on the interet, so I really can't say why they split up. But the music industry is like a huge gamble... Some bands win, some others like Splendora, lose bigtime. Would make sense if they just moved on to making other things and all that. Also, the grunge movement was already dying by then, so I guess they really didn't have that much of an audience to begin with. It's a shame, really. Because I listen to their first and only album on a regular basis. I would love to know what they would sound like should they have released another album.
