Connected
Split Loop vs. Stereo MC's Lyrics

Somethin' ain't right
Gonna get myself
I'm gonna get myself
I'm gonna get myself connected
I ain't gonna go blind
For the light which is reflected
I see through you, I see through you
Your dirty tricks, you make me sick
I see through you, I see through you
I'm gonna do it again, gonna do it again
I'm (gonna do it again, gonna do it again)
Gotta do right (gonna do it again)
Somethin' ain't right (gonna do it again)
Gotta do right
Come on
If you make sure you're connected
The writing's on the wall
But if your mind's neglected
Stumble, you might fall
Stumble, you might fall
Stumble, you might fall
(Stereo MC's)
I, ain't gonna go blind
I see through you, see through you
I see through you, I see through you
Gonna get myself
I'm gonna get myself
I'm gonna get myself connected
I ain't gonna go blind
For the light which is reflected
Hear me out
Can ya hear me out?
Can ya hear me out?
Do it again
Do it again
Do it again
Do it again
I wanna do it again
I wanna do it again
I wanna do it again
You're terrified (I wanna do it again)
Ain't gonna go blind, ain't gonna go blind
(I wanna do it again)
Here we go
If you make sure you're connected
The writing's on the wall
But if your mind's neglected
Stumble, you might fall
Stumble, you might fall
Hear me out
Stumble, you might fall
Interstate 5
Stayin' alive
Won't someone try
Open up your eyes
You must be blind
If you can't see
The gaping hole called reality
Ow, wanna do it again
I gonna, gonna do it again
I wanna do it again, come on
I'm gonna do it again
Hear me out
Terrified
Somethin' ain't right
Here we go
If you make sure you're connected
The writing's on the wall
But if your mind's neglected
Stumble, you might fall
Stumble, you might fall
Stumble, you might fall
If you make sure you're connected
The writing's on the wall
But if your mind's neglected
Stumble, you might fall
Stumble, you might fall
Stumble, you might fall
If you make sure you're connected
The writing's on the wall
But if your mind's neglected
Stumble, you might fall
Stumble, you might fall
Stumble, you might fall
If you make sure you're connected
The writing's on the wall
But if your mind's neglected
Stumble, you might fall
Stumble, you might fall
The song "Connected" by Split Loop vs. Stereo MC's is about staying aware of reality and not being blinded by false perceptions or trickery. The opening lines suggest a realization that something is not right, and the singer vows to get connected to avoid being blinded by false light. The repeated line "I see through you" and the reference to "dirty tricks" indicate a sense of being deceived by someone or something, and the need to stay vigilant and connected to reality. The chorus reminds listeners that being connected is important to avoid stumbling and falling. The bridge of the song urges listeners to open their eyes and see the reality around them, rather than being blinded by false perceptions.
Overall, "Connected" can be interpreted as a call to stay grounded and connected to reality, lest we fall victim to deception or illusion. The repetition of certain lines and phrases throughout the song give it a hypnotic quality, perhaps mirroring the state of being "connected".

Amazing!! No lie, was a former house DJ who was working on a full vocal remix back around 2002 and had a female singing the vocals and a guy lined up for the one female part but it kinda fell apart and I ended up getting too busy to finish it....glad to see someone make a banging remix at last! Was shocked with how many songs got remixed during my DJing days this wasn't one of them....was screaming for a remix
