Glad this video is available again. I discovered it in late 2017 or early 2018, this video. I was in an internal crisis and with depression.
The cover was the first thing that caught my attention, as if Christ wants to make you see something by force so that you become aware and reality hurts when you wake up from it and feel it, even reaching panic, but all for your own good.
The rare chaotic, loud, distorted sounds and repetitions represent the internal emotional state, and the accompanying rock music it is the time and space where you find yourself. Each letter is a prayer. The variations from one song to another are very balanced: calm, animated, disturbing, dark and light.

"Confession" you start to see that things are not quite right according to how you see them, and you start to see that but you don't understand it.
"Have Mercy" is the revelation, you become aware and you do not like what you see and what you are doing with yourself.
"Credo" you try to convince yourself not to accept it and begin try to ignore it or repress it, but the problem is in front of you along with your insecurities and fears, you want to reverse your decisions.
"Offering" is the maximum chaos, a panic attack, you don't know what to do, you just want to escape but afraid at same time.
"Hosanna" is when that moment is over and you are in a state of alert, it has samples that are reminiscent of "Confession", therefore it is a form of retro-inspection of looking back after having reached where you are.
In "Prayer" you begin to see your surroundings clearly and see all those actions and decisions that you did wrong and well together with all the experiences you have lived, then, in the end, you understand that that has left you a teaching, although you cannot go back to the step and change it, you have to accept it in order to keep moving forward to a better way.

This album helped me keep going, along with each prayer of every song.
Thank you RC Metanoia for upload it!

“Prayer” is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever recorded.

One of the best albums ever made in my opinion - light years ahead of its tine , still play it to this day.How on earth has this gem been overlooked?

I had this album back in the day, a different kind of music you might say but it's got something. Now listening to it some 40 or more years later it is still a master piece, one of a kind.

Absolutely a great album. Completely underrated and under appreciated. A real wonderful SP jam. Luther Grosvenor and Gary Wright are wonderful on this record.

i love everything about this album, but i"m one of a few who have an "aquired taste",  pierre henry does a sterling job to create a "suffering" atmosphere depicting christ"s pains!  and really adds to the psyche sound......my fav spooky tooth album without a doubt!!   a masterpiece!    it messed with my head as a 14 yr old on first hearing!!  perfect!!

MothershipOracle You're right. It's an acquired taste.

I wish I'd heard this when I was 14.

Pierre Henry is a musique concrete and electronic sounds pioneer of impeccable status and marvelous accomplishment. This is a fantastic Christian rock opera type album. I had it on vinyl when I was a teenager. Still sounds good. "Have Mercy" is very cool. Too bad other rock bands didn't get hip to far out synthesizer sounds.
