Pacifica
Spor Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Feel this wave
Crashing down
Push me deep into the ground
Float away with the tide I'll drown
Sinking following the sound

Vibrations on the surface of where you belong
Of where you came from

Vibrations on the surface of where you belong
Of where you came from

Feel this wave
Crashing down
Push me deep into the ground
Float away with the tide I'll drown
Sinking following the sound

I'm submerged again
I'm submerged again

Vibrations on the surface of where you belong
Of where you came from

Vibrations on the surface of where you belong
Of where you came from

I'm submerged again
I'm submerged again
I'm submerged again
I'm submerged again

Feel this wave
Crashing down
Push me deep into the ground
Float away with the tide I'll drown
Sinking following the sound
Feel this wave

I'm submerged again
I'm submerged again

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Spor's song "Pacifica" describe the feeling of being overwhelmed by a powerful wave and the experience of being pulled under to drown. The lyrics suggest that the singer is at the mercy of the ocean's strength, unable to resist the force of the wave as they sink deeper and deeper into the water. The repeated phrase "vibrations on the surface of where you belong, of where you came from" may evoke a sense of connection to the natural world, as the singer is brought back to the elemental origins of their being. The repetition of the phrase "I'm submerged again" creates a sense of helplessness and resignation, as the singer accepts their fate and sinks deeper into the water.

Overall, the lyrics to "Pacifica" seem to convey a sense of awe and reverence for the power of nature, as well as a deep respect for its ability to overwhelm and humble human beings. The repetition of certain phrases lends an almost meditative quality to the song, as the singer is pulled under and enveloped by the waves.

Can't believe this remix is now 10 years old! One of the best remixes to have come out in 2011! Chasing Shadows/KillSonik has always been one of my favorite Dubstep artist. Seriously this remix was ahead of it's time, so much nostalgia for this remix!
