They released their first two albums, 'What I Believe' and 'Fight The System' on independent labels, and signed to Tooth & Nail Records, they released their third album 'Bombs Over Broadway' in summer 2000. The earliest version of the band played ska-punk and has since moved to punk and finally to a rock and roll sound.
In spring 2002, Squad Five-O released their self-titled album, followed by a deal with Capitol Records in 2003. Their last album 'Late News Breaking' was released in summer 2004.
In the summer of 2005, Squad Five-O decided to call it quits.

Members of Squad Five-O have gone on to form or join the bands Gasoline Heart, the Reformation, holy!holy!, Adam and Dave's Bloodline and Marah.
