Aye Aye Aye
The lyrics of Square One's song "Aye Aye Aye" are focused on the Caribbean dance culture, particularly on the art of wining. The song is an invitation to everybody to come and dance, focusing on the rhythm and technique of the different Caribbean islands, such as Barbados, St Lucia, Dominica, St Marteen, Guadalupe and Martinique, represented by the nationalities mentioned in the song. The phrase "Aye Aye Aye" is repeated throughout the song, emphasizing the enthusiasm of the invitation, and the line "I want you to grind meh" is repeated as well, indicating the specific way the dance is to be executed.
The lyrics suggest that the focus is on the female dancers, as they are mentioned specifically in the line "Make the gyal them, bend right over". The song's message is focused on the celebration of the Caribbean dance culture and the power of music to unite people from different nationalities and backgrounds. The phrase "West Indian" is repeated throughout the song, highlighting the shared cultural identity and unity of the Caribbean people.
