Ciggie Smalls
Since nobody else has posted the lyrics:
In search for directions
My thoughts reflectin'
On who watches those cops ain't protectin'
Globe full of government probe
Mind- disectin', AIDS-infectin' freaks
Streets infested
Worldwide
Home is where my head last rested
A travelin' man
I've seen it all, no question
Peep the situation first
Then give my assessment
A lesson well earned
Worth more than stock investments
Rock testaments backed up by instruments
Intended for city kids in twelve-storey tenements
Stay forever bent, weed smoke is the evidence
Without it, aggression levels on a low tolerance
Hoe swallowin' my semen, dreamin' they pregnant
Little cats of fiends, for televised segments
Johnny's a legend
So seize the half-steppin'
I represent the god you pray to, like a reverend
[Chorus]
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back to life, back to reality
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back back
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back to life, back to reality
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back back
[Verse 2]
Talk the talk
Raised in the most ancient of arts
Separate plays through a sword
Serenades in the yards
Pleso Resort is amazin' I thought
Many ways we've been taught
In the caves of New York
DJs in the parks
Cross-phased with the swathes portrays of the art
At times, my mind just parades with the sharks
Investigating reports
Full' explainin' the dark
Renée’s then embark
Rainy days on the court
When slaves like us fought for the state of the sport
Envy the agony that weighs in my heart
Before my soul lays in the shades of the chalk
Blazed, ripped apart, make flames that shoot out
Praise you lord
And the names that you brought
Worthless play ricochets in my thoughts
We've been blazed from the start [bitch]
[Chorus]
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back to life, back to reality
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back back
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back to life, back to reality
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back back [yo tell me this]
[Verse 3-A]
How you gonna listen when you always talkin'
Walking' a different walk than the one that you barkin'
This land scorched and some men land in a coffin
For their dough and the clothes they be sportin'
Pass the Gordon's
Get wet like it's pourin'
Amazin'
Blazin' like scores in Portland
Escort and Scott got whores in Boston
Forcin' me to go long like I’m Johnnie Morton [Yeah yeah]
[Verse 3-B]
Explosives in tone with mysterious forces
The olympic mind games
Who's carrying torches
I'm in a cell for ulterior motives
But folk is reciting my theories to roaches
Eyes fantasized through the weary emotions
Eerie semblance of Moses
Metamorphoses
Roaches and liberians noticed
Even motherfuckin' cyclopedias quote this
[Chorus]
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back to life, back to reality
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back back
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back to life, back to reality
Take your time
Don't rush the clock
Bring it - bring it back back [yo tell me this]

Aun falta....Lin oZ
