This place in Kollupitiya, Colombo Sri Lanka is very familiar to me. I went every day for about two months. Good traffic system. You don't have to worry about crossing the road. There is no possibility of an accident.

Fun fact about Colombo. Per capita it's the richest city in South Asia. Near developed status. Unfortunately the Easter bombings in 2019 and the pandemic in 2020 set the city back many many years in terms of economic progress. Otherwise it would have reached fully developed status by now. It's my city, born there, grew up there and still living there. Love you Colombo ❤️🌴

Ur mistaken this city has a lot of cleaners. Even Jaffna is super clean cleaner than colombo because there are a lot of cleaners. I think if India gives poor people jobs as cleaners without just leaving them in streets it wil be cleaner. South India is clean I mean like Delhi

@Binath Vindiya I agree with you. When I visited overseas, in many countries I saw cleaning staff in large numbers. Things are much better now after the Swach Bharat initiative by the centre. Since I have travelled extensively I am not able to say that it's world class. I also feel that the population in India is very high. That pulls down everything that the government does.

@kumar7359 15 years ago Colombo was a hell with no flyovers, expressways, tunnels and most of the roads were unmarked. In 2005 Colombo looked like a 1950's city, but now it's far ahead from South Asia.😊

The Theravada Buddhists in Siri lanka worship the Buddha and are more powerful in the practice of Buddhism in their daily life than the traditional Buddhists in Myanmar , their towns and villages seem to be much cleaner and brighter because of their glory of practicing buddha teachings. Appriciate as a Buddhist in Myanmar. Very clean cities. Road side No urinating very clean maintained Toilets on Highways. Disciplined people, They respect Indians very Very much. They use to call us Big Brothers in fact. May the Al-Mighty bless them to come out of this crisis. Toomuch costly. Apple Rs 800 kg in 2000

Right now it's time to take some decisions, first sri Lankan people should handover there democracy to buddhist monks because these monks practices abstain of many things like money , alcohol , cloth ,food , etc they never touch , you can trust them. These monks are the only hope who live there life preaching budhas word to common man .Then and surely you will see change .
