As the lyrics are instrumental and there are no words to provide insight into the meaning of the song, it is difficult to offer an interpretation. However, the song Air by St. Martin's combines different instruments and harmonies to create a mood that is reflective and introspective. The use of different tempos, rhythms and melodies creates a sense of calmness and tranquility that invites the listener to lose themselves in the music. Seeing the thrilling reaction, well I can say that numbers do not determine experience indeed.

Boeing 737-700 UAL - CFM-56-7B24 - unmixed - slightly hotter - 24,200 lbf

Airbus A330-200 AAL - RR Trent772B - mixed - colder blast - 72,200 lbf
Airbus A330-200 AFR - GE CF-6-80E1 - unmixed - leaner burn but still hot - 69,800 lbf

Boeing 747-400 KLM - GE CF-6-80C1B2 - unmixed - leaner burn but still hot - 59,800 lbf
McDonnell-Douglas MD-80 INC - P&W JT8D-217C - mixed nozzle, low bypass turbofan, top roar noise - smoky & hot - 18,900 lbf (but engines placed in the tail makes it closer to its audience)
If Boeing 777-300ER ever went there, the 115,500 lbf GE-90-115B should be labelled "mutilation hazard".

By far the most exciting vacation I've ever been on, and the reason I decided I wanted to learn to fly! Those Insel Air pilots really played it up... they held full throttle and full brake for longer than anybody else!

never underestimate that power of JT8D-218 on these MD 80’s planes … that engines easily my favorite ones beside these famous JT9D’s

Having worked as a ramp (tarmac) employee, I know understand the “thrill” of being that close to these giant metal birds, it’s awe inspiring. Along with that, the jet blast kicks up enough dust to sand blast your face, risking eye injuries. The other risk is damage to your hearing. It’s almost unbearable.

Agreed. I also work on the ramp, and much of what we do is specifically to avoid such situations. Only takes one tiny piece of FOD to lose an eye.
