But they fail to see that these social problems will eventually affect us all, directly or indirectly

And that the well-being of others is ultimately tied to our own well-being

We're all in the same slimy boat
We are all interconnected and dependent on each other, even if we don't realize it

And we're all going to sink
And unless we start working together to address these problems, we will all suffer the consequences

As we search for answers and solutions

Of a tortured land
In a world that is beset by violence, exploitation, and environmental degradation

We will encounter other people who feel similarly disheartened and hopeless

The last trace of man
We may even fear that we are the last generation to inhabit a dying planet

Everybody's crying
As the problems and crises around us continue to mount

And everybody screams
People will express their frustration, anger, and fear in different ways

But some people will simply ignore these problems or seek to escape them in various ways

I only care about me
Even as they realize the broader implications of these crises, they will prioritize their own interests and well-being

In the end, we are left with a sense of foreboding and pessimism about the future
