Strong Enough
Stacie Orrico Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

As I rest against this cold, hard wall
Will you pass me by?
Will you criticize me as I sit and cry?
I had fought so hard and thought that all my battles had been won
Only to find the war has just begun

Is He not strong enough?
Is He not pure enough?
To break me, pour me out, and start again
Is He not brave enough?
To take one chance on me
Please can I have one chance to start again?

Will my weakness for an hour make me suffer for a lifetime?
Is there any way to be made whole again?
If I'm healed, renewed and find forgiveness and find the strength I've never had
Will my scars forever ruin all God's plan?

Is He not strong enough?
Is He not pure enough?
To break me, pour me out, and start again
Is He not brave enough?
To take one chance on me
Please can I have one chance to start again?

He took my life into his hands and turned it all around
In my most desperate circumstance
It's there I finally found

That You are strong enough
That You are pure enough
To break me, pour me out and start again
That You are brave enough

To take one chance on me
Oh Thank You for my chance to start again

Overall Meaning

The song "Strong Enough" by Stacie Orrico talks about the struggles one faces in life and the never-ending battle to stay strong. The lyrics are very introspective and showcase the artist's vulnerability as she ponders whether God is strong enough to help her start again after facing various hardships in her life.

In the first verse, the artist asks whether people passing by will criticize or judge her as she is crying while resting on a cold wall. This shows the fear of judgment that one may have when in a vulnerable state. She then goes on to question if God is strong and pure enough to help her break free from her pain and start anew. The chorus further elaborates on this point by questioning whether God is brave enough to take a chance on her and give her another opportunity to restart.

In the second verse, the artist wonders if her weakness for an hour will cause her to suffer for a lifetime, and if the scars she carries will forever ruin God's plan for her. This shows a deep sense of concern about the consequences of one's actions and how they may impact one's future.

Overall, the song's message is about finding strength in one's vulnerabilities and gaining hope that God is strong enough to help one start again despite the challenges faced in life. It encourages listeners to have faith and trust in God's plan for their lives.

Everybody listening??😁😁😁🤣

@Dam_Scene

I have the Bounce Back enhanced single, and the last track actually has a snippet of Strong Enough in a higher key, but I think lowering the key for the album version was a wise choice for the vocals. Still would've been cool to hear the first version.
