2. Stage is a modern rock band from Long Island. In 1993, Ryan Star (also known as ryan stahr or r. star) , Petr Anselmo & Greg Meyer formed the band to play covers such as Soundgarden. Then Stage began to write their own songs.
After recording an independent album, Stage won a contest and toured with Bon Jovi and Kiss. Meanwhile Justin Parker joins the band.
After 7 years and some demos they signed with Maverick Records in 2001. The chaotic recording sessions lead to an album "Stage" in march 2003, including the single "I Will Be Something" and the outsatanding tracks "The World Has Come Between Us" , "An Angel Screams From Outer Space" or "Perfect".
Ryan Star is now on a solo carreer under the name "r. star". He has released an LP untitled "Songs from the eye of an Elephant".

3. Stage is also a rock band from Slavonski Brod, Croatia.
They recently released the album called "Ovo je buka koja mi se sviđa" / "This is the noise that i like".

A very similar rhythm as Mystic Core (Ao) with a hint of Leaning Tower of Baja (Ys VIII). I've just beaten the dungeon yesterday and like I did in the Mystic Core dungeon in Ao I've stayed much longer in this dungeon than I had to just because of that theme. Especially 1:02 is amazing. The Spiral of Erebos leitmotif from 2:01 of course is the highlight here. If I had to make a pick, I liked Sonoda's tracks the most in the game. Kondo, give the man a raise.

@@mystery8820 You misunderstand something vital: I genuinely hate Singa's style of composing and choice of instruments and generally mixing, not the man himself. I think in one post I've even stated that I don't hate Singa as a person since he also has to find a way to pay his rent. It doesn't change the fact that I hate his music...

Sonoda's style on the other hand I love. That's why I praise it. Simple as that, so get off your high horse. And stop bringing that Singa crap to a Sonoda track comments section, that sh*t doesn't belong here.

I agree with you, though I don't hate Singa's work. His work is good... when I listen to it without the context. The problem I find with his work is that it has trouble fitting in the general "tune" of the game and the story, and only on very particular cases do they feel "proper" ('Seductive Shudder' is a good example, it fits Rose, Mariabel and Campanella, as it has the right hint of playfulness).
Singa's problems stem from his reliance and tendency to fall back on certain patterns/rhythms, which cause interference when trying to fit with Sonoda's and Unisuga's style.
Take this amazing track. Hearing Singa's 'Mighty Urge' play in the battles against the Zephyr members that take place in the same dungeon where you hear this beauty didn't felt (for me) as jarring as each and every time 'Sword of Biting Gale' played. Because 'Mighty Urge' transitions best here, taking advantage of the need to ride the tension this track builds up. But hearing it in all the other places it plays... it is either too aggressive, or does not match the situation or mood.
And to all other commenters: the reason Sonoda is not only the chief composer, but also the leader of TeamJDK is because he knows how to fit his tracks on the bigger picture, and how to adapt those tracks so they fit in as many situations as possible (via leitmotif, or arrange). He also knows how to make their intros so they transition well with the tracks that precede them and maintains a global, consistent style.
Singa doesn't. He lacks (at this point in his career) that flexibility, hence why his work feels jarring and is so hit-and-miss with fans who have been playing the series for long. It breaks the flow that Sonoda and the other have built up, and after eargasm-inducing musical combos like 'Law of the Battlefield' followed by 'Severe Blow' and capped by 'Exceed' (Basically, Sonoda sets the mood, Unisuga builds it up, Jindo makes it explode), if the musical flow does not reach that same level of consistent continuity... then it does not "feel" like Trails.
DesMondesBlut, because of the fact that you give reasons for your hate instead of just flaming him, I know you are not a troll and you have a good ear that can pick those discrepancies that occur when styles collide. And because of that, I respect your criticism.
