Stage 3-1 is one of the original video game music cover bands to emerge in … Read Full Bio ↴Stage 3-1 is one of the original video game music cover bands to emerge in the last 5 years, finding early success on the reknown Newgrounds website.

Unique in that that they solely cover music from the original NES console, they differ also from their video game cover band counterparts by incorporating original songs, as inspired by these very NES games.

Initially a studio effort, Stage 3-1 has assembled a live band due to popular request. Live performances are planned for the summer of 2007.

Joining original members Weston Sagle and Kevin Beswick was Steven Sagle, a video game enthusiast and NES connoisseur. To achieve the full NES metal sound, Brian Mikkila and Julian Ursano were incorporated to round out the live band.

The full-length album LEVEL UP!, featuring reinvented old favourites and originals, will be released sometime in late 2007. The album is currently in progress.
