Unique in that that they solely cover music from the original NES console, they differ also from their video game cover band counterparts by incorporating original songs, as inspired by these very NES games.
Initially a studio effort, Stage 3-1 has assembled a live band due to popular request. Live performances are planned for the summer of 2007.
Joining original members Weston Sagle and Kevin Beswick was Steven Sagle, a video game enthusiast and NES connoisseur. To achieve the full NES metal sound, Brian Mikkila and Julian Ursano were incorporated to round out the live band.
The full-length album LEVEL UP!, featuring reinvented old favourites and originals, will be released sometime in late 2007. The album is currently in progress.

Wild Pride
I found myself using this song more than the others when playing this game. It made me feel composed while going for the high score. Also, this version is much more satisfying than other ports of tetris when it comes to scoring a tetris (breaking 4 lines at once).

I’m currently 44… this takes me back to 12 year old me… simpler times, better times. A time when I still had a dad.

Im currently 33. My father would say to me... "game of 9-5?".. I rarely won as a 7,8 year old, but damn if he didnt set me up to look at life as a series of problems.

9 year old me totally waxing nostalgic. #3 never got the credit and playtime it really deserved. All the Tetris covers is always A and some B. #3/C never got the due credit. God I feel old, but rejuvenated at the same time. Such awesome memories growing up!

@Zachery Brown So sorry for your loss. My condolences.

I'm 42 born in the 1980, and my mom and I played this game years ago when I was a teen. Man, that was the best times I've spent playing this game! So many memories!

Sorry for you loss. My dad bought us an NES and tetris in 1989. He passed away in January 21' and searched for this video just to go back to that time.

This is the best NES score ever

Reminds me of laying in the floor playing NES on that same small Magnavox tv everyone had in the late 80s.
