Stakka Bo scored a hit in 1993/1994 with the song Here We Go from the debut album Supermarket. This song has been featured on an episode of "Beavis and Butt-head" although Beavis thought it was Ace of Base. Stakka Bo scored another successful single in some European countries with 1996's Great Blondino from the often Stereo MC's-esque album The Great Blondino. The third album, Jr., released almost six years after "The Great Blondino", adopted a more pop-oriented sound, often resembling that of successful 80's artists such as Erasure. However, it more or less completely failed to make any impact and Renck has not released any further Stakka Bo albums since.
Natural
Stakka Bo Lyrics

I'd like to think I'm really a regular John Doe.
The world's a shiny place, shame about the poor
And I've got all I need but frankly, I want more
We gotta save the dolphins, we gotta save the trees
And I do everything I can, I'm really on my knees
I never take a bath, a shower is enough
'cause if we wanna make it - we gotta play tough
And I've got everything I want, but frankly I want more
This is me in the flesh, I'm a natural
I dig into my pockets, I give what I can
I keep some for myself but I'm a self-devoted man
I never buy a hair-spray, I never wear a fur
I never eat a tuna - well, it occasionally occurs
I always pay my taxes, I always pay my bills
I always pay my V.A.T
Oh gosh, I need a pill!
I think of all those people who's constantly in pain
Where did I put my car-phone? I really wonder where
The world is such a shiny place, shame about the poor
And I've got everything I want, but frankly I want more
This is me in the flesh, I'm a natural
The lyrics of Stakka Bo's song "Natural" convey a sense of self-awareness and self-criticism. The singer introduces himself as "natural", but at the same time acknowledges his desire for more and his position of privilege. He talks about the need to save the environment and the animals, but also admits to occasionally eating tuna. He describes himself as someone who gives what he can, but also keeps something for himself. He pays his taxes and bills, but also feels the need to take a pill. The singer seems to be torn between his idealistic beliefs and his human weaknesses.
The song can be interpreted as a commentary on the modern society and its contradictions. The world is presented as a "shiny place", but at the same time there is poverty and suffering. The singer recognizes his own role in this system, but also feels powerless to change it. He is a "regular John Doe", but also someone who wants more than he has. The song encourages the listener to reflect on their own position in the world, and to question their own values and priorities.
Overall, "Natural" is a complex and thought-provoking song that combines social commentary with personal introspection. It invites the listener to join the singer in his quest for meaning and purpose.
