Buried Alive
Stane Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Fortune teller you tell my life
It’s too late the sun fade away
Turn back time I want to live again
I will never let you go alive
The man buried alive
You never let him rise again
You never let him go away
Can’t you see my life is falling apart
Wars and terrors are tearing this world apart
Walk of soldier walk of life again
Take myself as I die
Take myself am dying away
The man buried alive
You never let him rise again
You never let him rise again
You never let him go away
The lyrics to Stane's song Buried Alive depict the struggles of an individual whose life seems to be coming apart at the seams. The opening lines, "See my future writing on the wall, fortune teller you tell my life", suggest that the singer is aware of his fate but is powerless to change it. The following lines, "It's too late the sun fade away, turn back time I want to live again," reveal a deep sense of regret and longing for a chance to start over.
The chorus, "The man buried alive, you never let him rise again, you never let him go away," serves as a metaphor for the singer's situation. He feels trapped and buried alive, unable to break free from the circumstances that have led him to this point. The repetition of the line "you never let him" suggests that external forces are to blame for his predicament, leaving him feeling helpless and defeated.
The second verse touches on the broader state of the world, with references to "wars and terrors tearing this world apart". The line "Take myself as I die, take myself am dying away" suggests that the singer is resigned to his fate, acknowledging that he is slowly fading away with the world around him.
Overall, Buried Alive is a poignant reflection on the human experience of feeling trapped and helpless in the face of external forces beyond our control. The use of vivid imagery and metaphorical language makes for a powerful and emotionally charged song that resonates with its audience.

This is so awesome to hear the diverse bands from Botswana's metal scene. Massive hails to you guys and hopefully I can find a copy of Human Error somewhere. It's great to hear how bands like Stane and their friends have combined classic death/thrash influence with their own uniquely-Botswana style.
