The band got their name while in the USA. The four often got coffee at Starbucks, and in the USA, Konstantin was known as 'Stan' - and at Starbucks they write your name on the cup when you order. The waitress asked them if they were a band and suggest the name therefore.
In September 2007 Stanfour released their debut single, Do It All, which jumped in the German single charts, and reached place 46. Their second song, For All Lovers, was chosen by Sat.1 as trailer music for the TV show 'Nur die Liebe zählt' (Only Love Counts) and ran in September 2007. Their debut album 'Wild Life' came out on February 29, 2008. From April 2 to May 5, the band were the main opening act for the Backstreet Boys on their European Tour (Germany, Belgium & Luxembourgh).
Stanfour has also toured with John Fogerty (Creedance Clearwater Revival) and played shows with Daughtry, One Republic and Bryan Adams. In addition to the heavy hitters they’ve performed with, Stanfour has had some powerful players in the music industry working on this project. Writers Max Martin [Pink, James Blunt], Lindy Robbins [Backstreet Boys], Jess Cates [Backstreet Boys], Ryan Tedder [Singer, OneRepublic], and Desmond Child [Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Kiss] all contributed to the album, with Randy Staub [Nickelback, Metallica] mixing the final product and Martin Hansen [The Rasmus] producing.

That tight leash on hope
Cause I see through you and your scheme now
You led me on
Denied all I wanted
I never thought you’d go that way
Say what you wanna say what you need to,
Say what you wanna say what you have to say what you’ve got to,
you won’t break me
I shone a light so
You just might find
Your way in the dark
You’ve grown with me
Your wounds are self inflicted
Your fate is scripted
I tried to protect you
Say what you wanna say what you need to,
you won’t break me
Say what you wanna say what you have to say what you’ve got to,
you won’t break me
Uuuh, uuuh
Say what you wanna say
say what you’ve got to say
say what you have to say
I shone a light so
You just might find
Your way in the dark
You’ve grown with me
Your wounds are self inflicted
Your fate is scripted
I tried to protect you
Say what you wanna say what you need to,
you won’t break me
Say what you wanna say what you have to say what you’ve got to,
you won’t break me
Uuuuh, uuuuh
Say what you wanna say
say what you’ve got to say
say what you have to say
Say what you wanna say
say what you’ve got to say
say what you have to say
The lyrics of Stanfour's "Won't Break Me" convey the message of perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity. The singer is addressing someone who has betrayed their trust and hurt them deeply. They are telling this person that they can say whatever they want or need to, but their words will not break them. The singer has seen through the other person's deceit and is no longer under their control. The lyrics are empowering and encourage the listener to stand strong and not let anyone bring them down.
The first verse begins by urging the other person to let go of the tight leash on hope and stop trying to control their emotions. The singer has seen through the other person's scheme and is no longer vulnerable to their manipulations. The second verse reveals that the other person had led them on and denied them what they wanted, something that they did not expect. The chorus repeats the message that the other person can say whatever they want, but they cannot break the singer's spirit. The bridge highlights the fact that the singer had tried to protect the other person from harm, but their wounds are self-inflicted, and their fate is already predetermined.
Overall, "Won't Break Me" is about standing firm in the face of adversity and not letting anyone bring you down. The lyrics encourage the listener to let go of negative influences and not be controlled by them. The message is universal and can apply to any situation where someone is facing a difficult time and needs to find the strength to persevere.
