Star City Meltdown returned to the studio with producer Brett Hestla in April of 2011 to begin work on their follow-up to Stick In The Eye. When asked about the new album in a recent interview, Bassist Cody Cupp described it as "Much more mature and dynamic. It's everything our fans love about Star City Meltdown, but it's certainly much different than Stick In The Eye. The songs are heavier, but they still contain great melodies and hooks. We can't wait for everyone to get their hands on this record."
Star City Meltdown is currently touring the country, and has plans for a national tour to support the release of the upcoming album. The new album will be available for purchase in-stores and online July 5th.

There's a lesson
The ones in charge should learn
Had a story to tell
Oh well, farwell
All will pay
For those who disobey
All will pay
If the world is burning down
You'll figure out
Who you can count on
When it all comes back around
It's a slap in the face
For you to erase this fate
It is too late now
Time has clicked away
For us to help
It's become quite a show
Who wins
Who knows
All will pay
For those who disobey
All will pay
For the rest of thier lives
If the world is burning down
You'll figure out
Who you can count on
When it all comes back around
It's a slap in the face
For you to erase this fate
All your problems
Could have solved them
It's all over now
Let your egos
Cover your souls
Still with time to burn
When the world is burning down
You'll figure out who you can count on
When the world is burning down
You'll figure out who you can count on
When it all comes back around
It's a slap in the face
For you to erase this fate
This fate...
The lyrics to Star City Meltdown's song "As The World Burns" are a reflection on the current state of the world and the consequences of our actions. The song delivers a warning to those in power that they should take note of the lesson provided, and change their ways before it is too late. The band is essentially saying that there is a price to pay for not obeying the moral standards of society, and that the consequences will be felt for the rest of your life. The chorus emphasizes the importance of figuring out who you can count on when everything else is failing. The song culminates in a sense of inevitability, with the band reminding us that time has ticked away and we have little chance of helping those who have brought us to this point.
