Six Days
Stardown Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
God was creating this real world
But each day we are
Destroying it by nature
Radiation
Nuclear tests on ourselves
Viruses. Infections
And other shit
God made the world
For six days
Omnicide. One moment
And them the end
America pours oil
On the flames
Wars for profit
Peace's hanging by a thread
About our future
Why do we forget?
God made the world for six days
And rested on the seventh
Hallowing it! But we can
Destroy it for seconds
Every day we
Spoil our life on Earth
The Earth is our home
And we have made it dump
We don’t think that
We are decaying too!
The lyrics of Stardown's song "Six Days" are a powerful commentary on the self-destructive nature of humanity. The song starts by referencing the biblical story of God creating the world in six days, and then laments how in each day that passes, humans are destroying it with radiation, nuclear tests, viruses, infections, and other detrimental actions. The idea that humans, who are supposedly God's biggest creation, are actively ruining the planet that was made for them is a stark reminder of the impact of human greed and shortsightedness on the environment.
The second half of the song delves into the political aspect of worldwide destruction, calling out America for pouring oil on the flames of war and prioritizing profits over peace. The song is a call to action for people to wake up and start thinking about the future and the damage they are doing to the planet. The last verse, in particular, is a reminder that Earth is our home, and if we continue to spoil it, we are only decaying ourselves along with it.
Overall, Stardown's "Six Days" is a hard-hitting song that highlights the need for humanity to take better care of the Earth and to be more mindful of the long-term consequences of their actions.
