Moving On
Starlet Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm tired and won't be seen here again
You get used to be alone
But I can't stand it without a friend
I was so happy with you
So let me in
But will things ever change
Although I'm far away from you
Do you remember that night
In your bedroom
When we almost fell in love
God it helped me for a while
But I'm not so sure about it now
Only time can tell
But I know my luck
(far too well)
But will things ever change
Although I'm far away from you
I don't know
But I probabaly still love you
The lyrics of Starlet's song "Moving On" are about someone who is leaving a relationship but is still unsure of their feelings. The singer feels tired and does not want to be in the same place they were before, but they still miss the connection they had with their partner. The singer reminisces about a night they almost fell in love in their partner's bedroom, which gave them temporary happiness. They question if things will ever change and if they will ever truly move on from the relationship.
Throughout the song, the singer is torn between their desire for change and the familiarity and comfort of the past. They wonder if they made a mistake in leaving the relationship and if they will ever find that love again. The lyrics express the complexity of moving on from a relationship and the uncertainty that comes with it.
Overall, "Moving On" is a poignant and introspective ballad that speaks to the heartache and hope that often accompanies the end of a relationship.
