1. Growing up on Hono, a small island outside Gothenburg, Andreas was influenced by his father's love of electronic music. Artists such as Brian Eno and 60's soundtrack experimentalist David Axelrod inspired Andreas to create progressive and original tracks. Another major influence is jazz legend Herbie Hancock, who motivated Andreas to master improvisation skills on his first instrument, the keyboard.
Andreas started playing the piano at the age of six and discovered techno and other experimental music at the age of 14. Today Andreas is involved in several projects. His Swell Session moniker on Hollow recordings has received acclaim from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Les Gammas and LTJ Bukem.
Not one to be confined to a particular style, Andreas records techno for SLS and Fleebite and with his partner Jonatan has an experimental pop duo, Saagolime.

Stateless Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The dice are rolled, the skeleton sit by the fork in the road
The paths that twist and turn, the journey goes on
The memories caught between the hands of time
As she dances the dance of time
I'm in a trance now, the sun's love rains down on her landscape
But landscapes change
My mind is playing tricks on me
Language of fire to carve the stone
My mind is playing tricks on me
Images of fire to strike the stone
My mind is playing tricks on me
Language of fire to carve the stone
These lyrics from Stateless's song Blue Trace convey a sense of awe at the complexity and unpredictability of life, the passage of time, and the power of memory. The opening lines describe stolen glances and moments in between actions, hinting at the idea that life's most meaningful moments often occur in the gaps between the things we plan and do. The image of rolling the dice speaks to the element of chance and uncertainty that underlies all of our lives. The skeleton sitting by the fork in the road suggests that we are all on a journey with many possible paths to take, and that death is always waiting for us at the end. Despite the twists and turns of life, the journey goes on.
The next two lines describe memories caught between the hands of time, suggesting that while life is always moving forward, memories of past moments can be held onto and cherished. The person in the song who is observing this journey then sees a woman dancing, and the vivid description of "the sun's love rains down on her landscape" indicates that this is a moment of beauty and joy. But the final lines bring us back to the idea of change and uncertainty. The mind of the observer is playing tricks on him, with the language of fire carving the stone and images of fire striking it. This image could be interpreted in a number of ways, but it suggests again the idea of the passage of time and the changing nature of life.
Overall, these lyrics communicate a sense of the awe and wonder that can be found in both the beauty and the unpredictability of life. The observation of these moments can lead to a deeper appreciation of the journey we are all on, even as we acknowledge that the future is always uncertain.
