1. Growing up on Hono, a small island outside Gothenburg, Andreas was influenced by his father's love of electronic music. Artists such as Brian Eno and 60's soundtrack experimentalist David Axelrod inspired Andreas to create progressive and original tracks. Another major influence is jazz legend Herbie Hancock, who motivated Andreas to master improvisation skills on his first instrument, the keyboard.
Andreas started playing the piano at the age of six and discovered techno and other experimental music at the age of 14. Today Andreas is involved in several projects. His Swell Session moniker on Hollow recordings has received acclaim from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Les Gammas and LTJ Bukem.
Not one to be confined to a particular style, Andreas records techno for SLS and Fleebite and with his partner Jonatan has an experimental pop duo, Saagolime.

Stateless Lyrics

Frozen in silence, no sound save breathing
I can feel your skin on my skin
How did it get so cold in here?
I need to crawl inside your shivers
We let go of ourselves sometimes
And I'm crawling inside your shivers
And I'm crawling inside
And we rise in the air from our cradle shell
Like tears we fall on to the ice
We lay entangled, ice against skin
How did it get so cold out here?
I need to crawl inside your shivers
We let go of ourselves sometimes
I'm crawling inside your shivers
We let go of ourselves sometimes
And I'm crawling inside your shivers
Oh, we let go of ourselves sometimes
And I'm crawling inside your shivers
We let go of ourselves sometimes
And I'm crawling inside your shivers
The song "Inscape" by Stateless is a hauntingly beautiful and emotional piece about vulnerability, intimacy, and the complexity of human connection. The opening lines set the scene for a moment of intimacy and closeness between two people, but there is a sense of unease and distance as well: the forms are tangled up and the room is so cold. The singer is seeking warmth and closeness, wanting to feel his partner's shivers and crawl inside them. The metaphor of shivers is interesting because shivers are usually associated with coldness or fear, but here they represent something intimate and precious.
As the song progresses, the mood shifts from intimacy to isolation as the two people "rise in the air from our cradle shell" and fall onto the ice like tears. The intimacy they shared is lost amidst the coldness of the outside world, and they are left entangled and exposed. The repetition of the line "We let go of ourselves sometimes" is poignant because it suggests that even in moments of intimacy and connection, there are still barriers and distances that we struggle to overcome. The singer is still seeking to crawl inside his partner's shivers, to bridge that distance and feel close again.
Overall, "Inscape" is a deeply emotional and evocative song about the complexities of human connection. It explores the tension between intimacy and isolation, warmth and coldness, and vulnerability and strength.

It seems that this song...all of the songs by Stateless are somewhat melancholic, bordering on sad, but romantic nonetheless. i guess that's what makes them so amazing I guess. It's beautiful, relaxing to listen.
