Aman Doktor
Stellamara Lyrics

Mendilimin yeşili amman amman
Ben kaybettim eşimi
Al bu mendil sende sende kalsın
Sil gözünün yâşını
Mendilemin benek benek amman amman
Ortası çark-ı felek
yaxı beraber geçirdik
Kişin ayırı felek
Aman doktor çanım kuzum doktor
Derdime bir çare
Çaresiz dertlere düştüm
Doktor bana bir çare
Al bu mendi sende sende kalsın
Sil gözünün yâşını
Aman doktor çanım kuzum doktor
Derdime bir çare

Çaresiz dertlere düştüm
Doktor bana bir çare

Overall Meaning

The song "Aman Doktor" by Stellamara features Turkish lyrics with a mournful and heartfelt melody. It is a song about loss, grief, and the desire for a remedy or solution. In the opening lines, the singer refers to their green handkerchief and how they have lost their spouse, before offering the handkerchief to whoever can wipe away their tears. The handkerchief is described as having spots, representing the ups and downs of fate, and the middle of the fabric being the turning point of the wheel of destiny.

The next lines reminisce about happy times spent with a loved one, only to be separated by fate. The refrain "Aman doktor çanım kuzum doktor" is a plea for help, a cry for someone to ease their pain and provide a solution to their troubles. The repeated line "Al bu mendi sende sende kalsın, sil gözünün yâşını" is an offer for the handkerchief to be kept by the person who can wipe their tears, acknowledging that they cannot do it alone.

The song is a powerful expression of grief and the human desire for comfort in times of pain. The use of the handkerchief is a poignant metaphor for the tears shed in mourning and the healing power of a compassionate presence.

Aman Doctor is the song that my grandfather Dr Moise Taragano loved more than all. He studied medicine in the university of Istanbul and served in the turkish armi as a military physician officer. I think that he made me love Turkish songs and turkish food. Whain I visited Istanbul I felt at home. I love this song. Great song.
