Mountain
Stepa Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Eye candy is a mind fuck, but oh no more
This anticipation is drivin' me nuts
Something is gonna happen, some
Feel it pulse, watch it grow, it explodes when
When's it my turn to explode?
Aha ha ha I feel the sonic sliding the pressure builds inside me
I am so happy I could, I am so happy I could
However now and then they find a way to
Today is tomorrow and I am happy
Something is gonna happen some
Today is the last day and I am through with it
Today is the last day and no more bullshit
In Stepa's song "Mountain", the lyrics paint a picture of someone who has been anticipating a certain event or experience, possibly even craving or obsessing over it. The first line, "Today is the last day, the end of fasting", could suggest that this person has been depriving themselves of something or holding off on indulging in it, but now the time has come for them to finally have what they want. However, the lines following it express a sense of relief or freedom from the pressure of resisting temptation ("Eye candy is a mind fuck, but oh no more") and a growing sense of excitement and readiness for something to happen ("This anticipation is drivin' me nuts / Something is gonna happen, some / Feel it pulse, watch it grow, it explodes when / When's it my turn to explode?").
