Stephen Lyrics

It's going through you
Now once it's all gone
you become the new you
With a different perspective
from the same point of view
Fully unaffected by the old truth you once knew
Connected at the roots, to the trunk to the branches
Wind dances
A frantic see saw free fall in mid air
That represents the floating folly of us being here
We're complicated creatures huh
?
The lyrics of Stephen's song "Start a Fire" are reflective and thought-provoking. The song describes the transformative power of an experience that changes a person's perspective on life. The opening lines, 'You're not going through it, it's going through you,' suggest that the experience in question is something that the person cannot control, but that it is happening to them, and changing them irrevocably.
The lyrics go on to describe the way that this experience allows the person to see things from a different perspective. They are no longer constrained by their old way of thinking, but can see the world in a new light. The words, 'Fully unaffected by the old truth you once knew' indicate that this shift in perspective is a permanent one and that the person's old beliefs and ways of thinking are now behind them.
The song then speaks about the interconnectedness of all things, using the metaphor of a tree, and the way that the wind affects it. The lines, 'Connected at the roots, to the trunk to the branches, to the leaves and the way they fly away, wind dances,' suggest that we are all part of a greater whole, and that everything we do, say or think has an impact in the world.
Overall, the song is a meditation on the transformative power of experience, and how it can change the way we see ourselves and the world around us. It is a reminder that we are all connected, and that everything we do matters.

Stephen:
Come away, come away,
'Cause I love my soul.
A fighter in need,
A lover restrained.
I'm telling it's not for gold.
Come away, come away,
Cause I know I won't,
The fighter in me,
The trouble I see.
Heaven won't you let me go?
This is it,
Apocalypse.
I'm feeling their hell.
I'm feeling their hell.
This is it,
Apocalypse.
I'm feeling their hell.
For fearing their hell.
I'm dreaming how to start a fire.
I'm dreaming how to start a fire.
