The song "Lullaby" by Stephen Lynch is a disturbing and darkly humorous portrayal of a dysfunctional and abusive relationship between a father and his daughter. The song concludes with the suggestion that the father may be attempting to replace his ex-wife with a new partner, to the detriment of his young daughter.
Overall, the lyrics of "Lullaby" are shocking and deeply disturbing, portraying a father who is completely unsuited to the responsibilities of parenthood. However, the song also contains a darkly humorous twist, as the father attempts to soothe his daughter with a comforting melody in the face of his abusive behavior.

Why do I not like this song?
Cw: My dad showed multiple inappropriate videos and horror videos when I was from 4-10 laughing the whole time pinning me down forcing me to watch
He was also very uncomfortable to be around with his behaviour in general. So when I found out years later that this song was shown to me and my siblings when our mum left (due to his treatment of her putting her in a phyc ward and being warned about him by the staff)
I cannot help but feel sick knowing this was one of the main songs shown. Is it funny? Yes I will admit the shock factor is funny. But please not for kids. Especially being shown by a creepy guy put q bad taste in my mouth
I wish it wasn't the case as other songs by Steve make me laugh so muxh

so I discovered Stephen Lynch waaay back when! I was in a chatroom. remember chatrooms oldies? and someone threw on the comedy central version of this. I knew nothing of Stephen Lynch so I heard this incredibly beautiful song come on and I was waiting for it to bring me to tears it was so pretty. then it kicked in and I lost my shit at my computer! he's been my favorite comedy singer ever since and he's only got better! he has a new song out called summer song!
