Jo-Ann Greene writes about "Mind Control" AllMusic.com: "Stephen has continued to grow, adding new sounds and styles to his repertoire over the years. A conduit to the past and a bridge to the future, his music -- like his father's -- sounds timeless: reggae that embraces the world."
2004 he started the 27-city Bob Marley Roots, Rock, Reggae Festival tour with his four brothers and sons of Bob – Ziggy, Julian, Damian and Ky-Mani – each of whom have their own professional recording careers. The tour was the first time the brothers have officially performed together on stage.
Every February in Miami, Marley and his brothers perform at his family's annual Caribbean Festival in honour of their late father Bob Marley.

I've felt alone like no one else
I've seen the good suffer long
I've felt the power of love
I've made a way out, flew where to go
And what's it all for? I don't know
But it must be said, just so you know
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
I said it's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
The sun rises and rises and rise s
It'll rise again
I've caught a glimpse of her, beautiful
I've come to learn pain teaches more than hurt
Some come to the end of the world
Just to wake up and be reborn
I've seen the weak overcome the strong
And what's it all for? Only Jah knows
But no matter how this life unfolds yeah
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
I said it's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
If I keep telling myself that it will be alright
Maybe I could get some sleep tonight
The sun rises and rises and rises
It'll rise again
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
I said it's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
The song "It's Alright" by Stephen Marley is a hopeful and uplifting anthem that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. Throughout the song, Marley reflects on his own struggles and challenges, as well as the struggles of others he has observed. He acknowledges the pain and suffering that exists in the world, but he also sees the beauty and power of love that can overcome it all.
One interpretation of the lyrics is that Marley is acknowledging the deep sense of disconnect that can arise when one feels like a stranger to oneself. He has experienced feelings of loneliness and isolation, and has witnessed others who have also suffered. However, he has also seen firsthand that the power of love and the human spirit can overcome even the most difficult circumstances. He encourages listeners to keep going, to keep striving for a better tomorrow, because ultimately, it will be alright.
The recurring refrain of "It's alright" serves as a reminder that even though life can be difficult, there is always hope for a better tomorrow. The imagery of the rising sun emphasizes this message, suggesting that no matter how dark the night may seem, the dawn of a new day is always just around the corner.
Overall, "It's Alright" is a deeply optimistic and empowering song that encourages listeners to keep moving forward, even in the face of adversity.
