His solo debut Mind Control came 2007 (acoustic version 2009). He has produced much of his half brother Damian Marley's albums, as 2005's Welcome to Jamrock, and also for half brother Julian Marley. 2011 Stephen begun release a series of albums benamed Revelation...

Jo-Ann Greene writes about "Mind Control" AllMusic.com: "Stephen has continued to grow, adding new sounds and styles to his repertoire over the years. A conduit to the past and a bridge to the future, his music -- like his father's -- sounds timeless: reggae that embraces the world."

2004 he started the 27-city Bob Marley Roots, Rock, Reggae Festival tour with his four brothers and sons of Bob – Ziggy, Julian, Damian and Ky-Mani – each of whom have their own professional recording careers. The tour was the first time the brothers have officially performed together on stage.

Every February in Miami, Marley and his brothers perform at his family's annual Caribbean Festival in honour of their late father Bob Marley.

Hey, I met someone you know and have performed with while I was out the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah who is a keyboardist on several of your songs. He was hanging out outside on the street with Robbie Krieger of the Doors, when I approached him. I actually recognized him and not Robbie when I first met them. Anyway, I mentioned that maybe it would be a good idea to do a cover of the Doors song "Light My Fire" since Robbie wrote that. He and Robbie thought that would be a great idea. And I mentioned that I would love to join in if they ever do it. I have a band myself in Chicago. Anyway, if there is ever an opening on one of your gigs, I would be in for sure. I love this channel. It has seriously become my go to music channel as of late.

Growing up in Jamaica bob marley isn’t appreciated and cherished the way. He should be, jamaicas economy is predominantly tourism, why? Bcz of bob marley, I always say it one way or another he is still feeding a nation bcz they all make money from his name.
I grew up only a few miles away from nine mile where he was born, with people who knew bob, knew his mother and even met his father once or twice, as those areas are all forests and mountains.

This is proof that art and music transcend what we look like, where we're from, how we dress, etc, while still including elements of each culture! I loved hearing that traditional Japanese instrument, the big Indian flute and the classical Spanish guitar amongst the electric instruments with this song, because it shows how Bob Marley's influence resonates across the globe to this day.

And this song hits home with me in a very potent way: we cannot help free others from the cruelty of divisive mental programming like "not good enough" and "worry about what others think" without first freeing ourselves from that same crap.

I remember going to Bob Marley's concert in Central Park in the 70's, it was one of the best experiences of my life. It was not something you could ever forget! I wish the generation today could have had that experience! His music/voice lives on.......
