Ooh yeah, you better come on into my kitchen
Because it is going to be rainin', I know
You better come on into my kitchen
Because it is going to be rainin' outdoors

The woman I love stoled her from a friend
Fool got lucky stoled her back again
You better come on into my kitchen, yeah, yeah
Because it is going to be rainin' outdoors

Hey, hey I said baby, come on baby, come on
Well, come on mama, let's have some fun
You better come on baby, into my kitchen, yeah yeah
Because it is going to be raining outdoors

Hey, hey, oh mama yeah, ooh, yeah, come on baby
Want you to come on baby, into my kitchen, yeah
Alright hey, hey, yeah yeah
Woo, yeah, yeah

The woman I love, hey, stole her from a friend, Lord
The fool done got lucky stoled her back again, oh my
You better come on baby into my kitchen, yeah yeah
Because it is going to be raining outdoors

Hey, hey, hey mama yeah, ooh, yeah yeah, come on baby
Want you to come on baby into my kitchen, yeah yeah
Well, alright, hey hey, yeah yeah
Woo, yeah, yeah

Alright now, come on baby

I said it is all right, well, you know
I said it is going to be raining outdoors

There is so much about this version that is badass.... from the choice of the 12-string to the low tuning and uptempo groove. A truly unique approach.

@69dollyrocker

Thanks for putting this on. Have always loved this version since it first came out when I was about 7. The Allman Bros. do a hell of a mean version too!

I first heard Stevie Miller play this song as an opener in Berkeley Community Theater 1971. He came on stage about 45 minutes late. He played about five or six acoustic songs on the 12th string. Venice Band came on featuring Boz Scaggs and play for 3 hours wow what a trip

I paid 5 bucks to see him in Milwaukee in 1970 and he's been my 2nd love sine then.

@ED-wi4sx

On Miller’s album The Joker, where this song is on, its composer is credited as Payne, not Robert Johnson.

@TheChessboss

Such a coincidence I got this song recommended by someone and 10 minutes ago I was watching a netflix documentary sort of about Robert Johnson.
