Tick tock tick, do, do, do-do
Tick tock tick, do, do, do-do
Tick tock tick, do, do, do-do
Tick tock tick, do, do, do-do

Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future

I wanna fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
'Til I'm free
Oh, Lord, through the revolution

Feed the babies
Who don't have enough to eat
Shoe the children
With no shoes on their feet
House the people
Livin' in the street
Oh-oh, there's a solution

I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
'Til I'm free
Right through the revolution

Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future

Do do, do-do, do do, do-do, do do, do-do
Do do, do-do, do do, do-do, do do, do-do
Do do, do-do, do do, do-do

I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
'Til I'm free
Right through the revolution

Tick tock tick, do, do, do-do
Tick tock tick
Tick tock tick, do, do, do-do
Tick tock tick, do, do, do-do
Tick tock tick, do, do, do-do

Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future

This song is so relevant even more today. The Steve Miller Band is a musical force that deserves much praise for all their great work and it still continues.

The reaction of the girls in the crowd shows that this song was well on its way to becoming a major success.
Trimming the excess and some tightening of some other parts made this song into an anthem for the decade and well beyond.

Such a great performance of an untested song with great results. ❤

If Steve Miller said he was going to play Fly Like an Eagle today, the crowd would go Crazy. Those people hardly reacted because they hadn't heard the song yet. What a Treat.
