1. When describing STEVE WARREN's career, one must use the term: "VARIED." He has been singing, literally, as long as he has been talking! At the ripe old age of 3 years old, he sang to 10,000 people in a large municipal auditorium in his hometown of Houston Texas. STEVE WARREN, "The Voice," has sung and performed with the greats in both gospel and secular music. In his hometown of Houston Texas, Steve became friends and performed with country music great Larry Gatlin. Their friendship continues to this day. Moving to Nashville in 1982, he began singing with the legends of gospel music, Jake Hess, Hovie Lister, J.D.Sumner & James Blackwood in the group "The Masters 5." On the majority of the 8 albums he performed on and produced for the Masters, his "one man band" is heard, as he played all the instruments on those recordings. When all of the Masters went their separate ways, J.D. Sumner & Steve reformed "The Stamps Quartet," the group that sang back-up for the late Elvis Presley. He then traveled world-wide with The Stamps, doing gospel concerts as well as "Elvis Tribute" shows, for which he was the featured vocalist. Leaving the Stamps in 1993, Steve joined forces with his lifelong friend, Cecil Blackwood and The Blackwood Brothers. This would not be the last time for Warren to join this world famous group. In December of 1994, he then joined "The Wayne Newton Show," as pianist, leader of Newton's back-up vocal group, and featured soloist on all of his shows. Steve also appeared in the Warner Brothers motion picture "Vegas Vacation" in 1996. In September of 1997, Steve again joined The Blackwood Brothers, remaining in that position until the death of Cecil Blackwood in November of 2000. His award nominations and inductions have been varied as well. STEVE WARREN is the only performer in the large entertainment community of Pigeon Forge Tennessee to be nominated for 9 Grammy awards in 3 categories: Solo Artist, Group Member, and record producer. 2. At the young age of five the love of music was birthed in Steve Warren’s life. As a young child he began playing drums and singing with his family. When God called him into a ministry of his own, he not only continued proclaiming the gospel through song, but the Word of God as well.
As a young pastor in southwest Virginia, his love for music began to deepen. He began word at a local radio stations WXMY and WOLD, where he remained a disc jockey for fifteen years until he became owner. During this time Brother Steve created what is known today as the Gospel Sound Radio Show. Which is an hour radio show featuring “some of the best in southern gospel music”, whether it be local talent or well-known artists. This program became syndicated to radio stations and later became a television program.
Brother Steve saw the need for southern gospel music in the area and with that he began promoting gospel groups, which he remains doing today. The local areas began seeing groups such as The Spencer’s, The Singing Cookes, Kevin Spencer & Friends, and the Perry Sisters.
In 2001 Steve joined Sims Records located in Nashville, TN. It wasn’t until this time that he had ever been part of a record label of this prestige. In 2004 a song that Steve wrote along with his wife, “Heaven on Her Mind” became a #1 song in the Christian Country National Charts.
Rev. Warren was given the honor in June of 2004 to be nominated and chosen by gospel music fans all over America as Favorite Male Vocalist at the Music City Gospel Showcase and Convention, which is held annually in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Over the past several years God has blessed Steve by placing many chart topping singles within his hands. According to the Singing News Charts, songs such as “His Love Ran Down the Cross” #47, Somewhere Between Mercy and Grace” # 27, “I’m Still Leaning on the Everlasting Arms” #21, “Banks of the River” #19, “Those Same Hands” #16, and “Those Three Old Rusty Nails” #15 are songs that not only contain a good melody or fancy wording, but a message of hope and encouragement. Steve is very thankful to God and humbled that he would be chosen by God to reach the unreachable not only through preaching the Word of God but through the words of a song.

singing, or in the various other gifts and talents God has placed in his life.

I let you
We broke the ties that bind
I wanted to forget you
And leave the past behind
Still, the magic of the night I met you
Seems to stay forever in my mind
And high above
The moon was new
And so was love
This eager heart of mine was singing
Lover where can you be
You came at last
Love had its day
That day is past
You've gone away
This aching heart of mine is singing
Lover come back to me
When I remember every little thing
You used to do
I'm so lonely
Every road I walk along
I walk along with you
No wonder I am lonely
The sky is blue
The night is cold
The moon is new
But love is old
And while I'm waiting here
This heart of mine is singing
Lover come back to me
When I remember every little thing
You used to do
I grow lonely
Every road I walk along
I walk along with you
No wonder I am lonely
The sky is blue
The night is cold
The moon is new
But love is old
And while I'm waiting here
This heart of mine is singing
Lover come back to me
Steve Warren's "Take Me Back" is a song about a person who is yearning for their lost love. The song is essentially a confession of regret, as the singer explains how they let go of the person they loved and has never been able to get over it. The singer remembers the magic of the night they met their love, which continues to stay in their mind, along with memories of all the little things the loved one used to do. The singer's heart aches for the love to return, as they are unable to forget about the past and the person who left them, with every road they walk on leading them back to their love.

The sky, night, moon, and heart all have a place in the song, representing the singer's feelings of loss, longing, and emptiness. This song invokes feelings of nostalgia, heartache and melancholy, which many listeners can identify with.

We ended our relationship
I wanted to forget you
I wished to erase all memories of you
And leave the past behind
And move on from our relationship
Still, the magic of the night I met you
However, the enchantment of the night I first saw you
Seems to stay forever in my mind
Continues to linger in my thoughts eternally
The sky was blue
The sky had a blue hue
And high above
And was situated far above
The moon was new
The moon was in its initial phase
And so was love
And our love was also new
This eager heart of mine was singing
My enthusiastic heart was singing out loud
Lover where can you be
Asking where my lover is
You came at last
You finally arrived
Love had its day
Our romance flourished temporarily
That day is past
But our relationship is in the past
You've gone away
You left and are no longer here
This aching heart of mine is singing
My heart, that is full of longing, is singing
Lover come back to me
Asking my lover to return to me

I'm feeling very lonely
Every road I walk along
Wherever I go
I walk along with you
I feel as though you're with me
No wonder I am lonely
No wonder I'm feeling so sad and isolated
The sky is blue
The sky still has a blue hue
The night is cold
The night feels chilly
The moon is new
The moon is still in its initial phase
But love is old
But our love has grown old and matured
And while I'm waiting here
And though I'm still waiting here
This heart of mine is singing
My heart is still singing
Lover come back to me
Asking my lover to come back to me
